Just steps away from Rainbow Lake in this Dog Friendly Cabin

Get away to our comfortable 2BD/1BA mountain cabin just steps away to Rainbow Lake. Golden Retreat provides the perfect mix of a mountain retreat, while still close enough to all that the White Mountains have to offer.

The cabin sleeps 6 guests for that perfect family get away or romantic retreat. The master BR has a full queen, TV , while the guest room has a queen and bunk beds ( FULL ). All beds are high quality for a comfortable nights rest.

In-floor heating keeps this cozy cabin very comfortable, along with an electric fireplace for heat and ambience. Portable electric heaters are in each room for added comfort if needed. Being at 6800ft elevation, the average summer temperature is in the mid 80's. Open the windows to provide fresh and cool mountain air. On rare occasion it can get in the 90's, so a portable AC is provided for your comfort ( 1 in Main Living/Dining, and 1 in each bedroom ).

In the main room is a 65" flat screen TV, DVD player with Netflix access, high speed internet service, bar, electric heating fireplace and a dining table that seats 7 comfortably. CableTV is provided on all TV's.

Though the kitchen area is small and lacks a full size oven, it does have everything else needed to prepare and serve meals for the whole family.

Outside you will find a wrap around deck with propane BBQ, picnic table and outdoor seating. There is plenty of parking in front m( Gravel Drive ) and room for your boat. The launch ramp and fishing dock is right around the corner!

***We just added a fence around the property for your children & pets to play with no worries of running off.

We are huge animal lover and believe everyone should be allowed to bring their furry kids ( Dog's Only Max 2 ) with them on vacation, however due to prior inconsiderate guests with pets who have damaged the property and unable to pick up after their animals, I am now forced to charge a pet fee of $30 ( Per Pet )(no cats allowed). This property is fenced in so you're doggies can run free. Also being in the Mountains, there are natures insects and animals in the area so stay alert. At busy times the traffic in the vicinity can get pretty hectic.

I have the cabin next door (listing # 2432133) which you can check out the reviews, and then rent both for a great Family event. Plenty of parking so bring your fishing poles and boat up to have some fun in the beautiful White Mountains!!

Cabin Stay

We had a great time staying at this cabin. Especially with 2 dogs being able to run around in the fenced in yard. Very easy access to Rainbow Lake where my husband and his friend caught some fish! The host is a great communicator and the cabin was very clean. We would stay here again.

This charming cabin is located steps away from Rainbow Lake for the fishermen amongst us. It is very clean & well kept. Living room area had big plush couch & chairs with a big TV (includes cable & Netflix) Kitchen is very rudimentary but adequate for simple meals. BBQ was a great addition and we used it as an oven. Beds were comfortable & amenities listed on detail sheet was accurate but there were lots of charming touches that were not listed. Yard is completely fenced in so our dogs could stay outside and play without supervision. The only suggestion for improvement would be more lights in main living area. Ron, the host, was very responsive and couldn't have been nicer. We would definitely stay there again.

Super chill stay in Pinetop

Loved the cabin set up. Was perfect for our dogs to run around outside with the fenced in yard. Lake was super close to walk to! Plenty of stores nearby to get groceries for the stay too. The whole family enjoyed the getaway!

Perfect!

This place is just as advertised! We brought up our dog to this fully fenced property with the wrap around patio cover. Very comfortable inside and just steps away from the lake and very short drive to stores nearby.

Great spot for fishing trip

This place had everything we needed and was a fun place to stay. The dogs having grass and a yard was an awesome plus! Very short walk to Rainbow Lake and a dock that was perfect for fishing. Would definitely recommend, especially to those with dogs!

Peaceful and Perfect

The place was walking distance from the lake. It was very nice and charming atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and just speaking with all the neighbors. The place was very roomie and cozy. I can imagine winter stay being very nice.

Wonderful little cabin

Me and and my teenage kids stayed here and fished almost everyday. The lake is so close the kids could walk by themselves. We caught a total of 25 fish between all of us. Very comfortable and located in the perfect place. Ryan

No more cabins!

Fenced yard, covered porch around the house. Enjoyed large TV and spacious living room. Beds were very comfortable. Home was well supplied with every day items. Will be staying here on our next visit.

Great Escape

We had an excellent stay up in Pinetop. The property was very nice and cozy. We really enjoyed the full wrap-around deck and the fully fenced yard. Check in and check out were very easy. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed the cool fall weather. Being walking distance to Rainbow Lake was a big plus.

Perfect little getaway

If you ever have the opportunity to stay at any of Ron’s properties, please do so. You will not regret it. This place was perfect for our nice weekend getaway. Great Experience

We loved the wrap around porch, the wrap around grass for the dogs. Rainbow Lake was just around the corner. The street was busy but it didn't bother us. We very much enjoyed our stay and thank Ron and Melissa for the opportunity of sharing this home. We hope and want to re-book if they would have us.

Absolutely Perfect Weekend Getaway!

We brought our golden retriever and our 16-year old daughter for Labor Day Weekend. The location of the property is incredible - just steps from Rainbow Lake. The fenced yard was a godsend for our busy dog. The cabin itself feels very spacious and is well-appointed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the backyard grill looked brand new. This is a great home base for all the hiking, horseback riding, picnicking and fishing that put the White Mountains on the map: we would love to stay again!

Perfect getaway by the lake

Beautiful, cute little cabin right next to the lake, with all the amenities you need. Clean, comfortable beds. Functioning kitchen. Full bath. Fenced in yard, wrap around covered porch. Dog friendly! The front porch is a perfect spot to watch the sunrise while drinking coffee. This was a great place to spend a birthday weekend!

Pleasant stay

We enjoyed our time here. Ample amounts of blankets and pillows, which was great! Beds were comfortable. I felt that generally speaking everything was well kept and clean. There were webs up in the ceiling rafters, which would make some squeamish, but I didn't feel like it effected our stay much. Rented a boat around the corner - would 100% do that again! The host helped guide where to look for the boat rental. Thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning with my coffee.

Pinetop by lake

We very much like the location by the lake. The street doe get a lot of traffic. The AC units are very loud. In the past we didn’t need them but this trip we did need them to stay cool. The yard was supposed to be mowed prior to our stay was t done but dogs didn’t care. Overall we are very happy and most likely will stay here again it would be nice if there were co tiniest small improvements
