We gave it a try because it looked comfy and was close to the Gouffre de Padirac, but we would go out of our way to stay there again even without the visiting the Gouffre again (which we would probably do anyway) ! We had not planned on the breakfast but SO GLAD we did, an amazing basket of fresh baked breakfast goods, juice, coffee and artisinal jam."

" Monique is a superb host and very helpful. The property has everything you could need in a small apartment. Everything was clean. The addition of an outside sitting area, free WiFi and parking made our stay special. The breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day - also included. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped - enough cooking and baking equipment do make almost anything. Exceptional value for money and very comfortable space. We will no doubt be back in future. "

The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. "This little house is in an idyllc setting, just 6 miles or so from the the Dordogne river, with rolling hills in every direction. We both loved the views and the peace and quiet.There were issues with the property: (i) the double bed had a single duvet cover - not ideal when my husband is 6ft 2" and 20 stone (ii) the kitchen area is situated in the chimney breast. The lintel over the chimney breast is only about 5ft 3" - fine for me, but hopeless for my husband. He banged his head innumerable times (iii) the sofa was a sofa bed. It did not work as a bed, as it appeared to be broken and it was not very comfortable as a sofa"
