We spent 5 nights in the property. It was simply marvelous! No complaiments. The restaurant is great. The same for the rooms. And the staff…incredible!

staff , service , location , vineyards and hotel were amazing ..older building is showing some signs of wear so try to stay in newer building with balconies..a great escape exuding in Portuguese hospitality..

Comfortable. Bus tour hotel.

Amazing best time ever
Amazing stay The winery in gorgeous and the wine tour and tasting was great. We accidentally booked a tour in Portuguese which we do not speak but the guide was kind enough to translate when she could. We slept in the barrel room which was amazing. Very relaxing we had such a great time we did not want to leave. Staff very helpful service was impeccable. We highly recommend staying there.

Its probably one of the most beautiful places to visit. We stayed at a barrel room. It is cozy, but a cool experience for 1 night. It could have been a 10/10 hotel if it didn't feel like you have to extra for EVERYTHING. The barrel was the most expensive room anyway. We wanted a cup of tea and there were no hot water for use, we had to buy at the bar for 8eur. Talking about hot water, there are barely hot wate

Property is really spectacular. If you are visiting for the wine tasting, you will have an amazing time. If you are staying at the hotel and will be eating at the restaurant, please be aware of the following: - there are 3 sections, newly built, older section and the barrel rooms. - I and a friend of mine booked a room in the new section and it was such an unpleasant experience. Room comes with 2 twin beds which we separated apart. Beds are really tiny and nothing to compare with American size double or queen beds in hotel rooms. - Our room had a glass door to the bathroom which provided zero privacy. If you are with a friend or a partner with whom you are uncomfortable hearing or seeing what is going on in the bathroom or the shower it will make your stay extremely unpleasant. - Restaurant is overpriced for the quality of dishes you get. Not worth the money. If you have a car, drive into town and have a great meal for a fraction of the price.

A winery that doubles as a wonderfully beautiful and peaceful resort with stunning vistas, a friendly staff, and exceptional dining (even in the poolside bar/cafe). The complimentary bottle of port offered in the room was especially thoughtful. The only downsides was for us was in the tasteful, contemporary designed room. It seemed designed more for beauty than for comfort or convenience. The parquet floors are gorgeous, but the wood was popping up throughout, so we kept painfully stubbing our toes and tripping (particularly coming out of the shower). And large room just for the toilet (water closet?) is has a floor-to-cieling, clear glass door -- so there is absolutely no privacy whatsoever for whomever is inside. The glass should be frosted at the very least. It makes no sense and is quite awkward & bizarre.

Absolutely Gorgeous!
This property is not only historic but recently updated to freshen it up. The staff was absolutely wonderful and the views cannot be beat. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wine-centered place to stay in Lamego!

The property seems to not be able to accommodate the number of guests it has. It often felt crowded. Room was meh: so/so. Grounds are beautiful but too many people. Room was small and not so great view on first floor.

The grounds are beautiful and the pool was a must when we visited on a day when it was 37 degrees. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast the next day.

Location is great, it’s quiet but very close to two towns, the property is stunning and has lots of places to relax and take photos, the pool is beautiful. Breakfast was a great addition for a small fee and includes champagne. We stayed in the classic building, the room was okay, the carpet and shower stall were a bit rough but it was still a nice enough room and comfortable. You receive a small bottle of welcome port and a complimentary wine tasting as a guest.
