Booker Beware!

Booker Beware! I booked this property over a week in advance of our trip to Lancaster for a huge softball tournament. The same day I booked the property I was in contact with Gabriela the property manager and asked if a late check out would be possible. The property manager informed me that this would likely be ok because she did not see anyone booked to arrive after my stay. I followed up with the property manager two days before check in about the property address. The day before check-in, Gabriela sent a message in the morning with check in details, map, and pin code for the property. That SAME evening, hours before check-in, I received an email requesting us to change our arrival dates because they had a booking conflict!!!I called the property manager at 10:30 pm once I realized we were being cancelled and spoke with the husband. He informed me that they had a software problem that ‘accidentally’ double booked our property and the other booking party had checked in earlier that day! Likely, one of two unacceptable scenarios happened: either another booker came in last minute and booked the property and the host booted me even though I had made the booking first, or the double booking happened days in advance and the host waited until the very last minute to inform me of the scenario. Both of these scenarios are unacceptable and highly unprofessional and should be considered when you take the risk of booking this property or with this host!!!
