Charming little Cabin nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains located along the old Virginia Creeper Train Route on the rural banks of Big Horse Creek, a rushing Trout stream. This cozy little cabin sleeps 4, with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a pull out sleeper sofa, a full kitchen with all the amenities. There is a living room where guests can relax, read a book or take a nap in the recliner. The cabin has a wrap around deck and a large table for outside dining. Guest(s) sit outside on the screened in porch and can relax, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and take in the waterfront views and sounds of rushing currents as they pass by. There is a grill for cooking out, a Hot Tub to soak away stress, and there is a Fire Pit for those who wish to build camp fire after dinner along the creek. For the kids the cabin has Satellite TV, a VCR with plenty of old classic movies. For fishing enthusiasts, Big Horse Creek is a NC State stocked Trout Stream. You can practically cast your fly rod from off the wrap around deck. Creekside Serenity is located within 20 minutes of the world famous historic Shatley Springs Family Style Restaurant, downtown West Jefferson, home of North Carolina's only Cheese Plant and many Antique Stores and Art Galleries. Also just a short drive further, visitors can take in the beautiful Churches of the Frescos, Blue Ridge Dinner Theater, Mount Jefferson State Park, Ashe County Court House Museum, Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill, or shop the outlet stores in Boone, NC, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, or canoe the New River Just to name a few things a traveler can find to do here during their stay.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at this cabin. It was beautiful during the fall. The cabin was clean and the hot tub was perfect. We drove up to Damascus to go hiking and enjoyed the downtown there. We also spent explored West Jefferson. It’s a great spot to enjoy the outdoors and just relax. My favorite parts were reading my book by the water and listening to the water when I went to sleep and woke up from the bedroom window. It is a perfect couples getaway.

Great little cabin

This is our second stay. We own property very close by and are developing it and it's a great close location for us. The beds suck so bring your own inflatable air mattresses.

Great Anniversary Getaway

We were looking to get away from our busy jobs and have a relaxing couple days away. This cabin meet and exceed our expectations. It was quiet and clean. We did explore Lansing and West Jefferson. They are both great places.

Lovely cabin and grounds

My husband and I found the cabin comfortable, clean, and everything we expected. The proximity to the stream was enchanting. Would have loved it if the screened porch was on the stream side but that's the only thing I can find even marginally 'bad' to say. We liked it so much we've booked another stay in the fall!

Great Secluded Getaway

This is a great little cabin that was nicely equipped and decorated. The owners were responsive with a minor issue at check-in (to no fault of their own). Beautiful scenery and several outside amenities. Linens and towels were comfy. Just far enough away from the nearest small town of Lansing that had a beautiful great riverside park with plenty of area to fish and play.

Great stay!

Love the brook which is directly off the wrapped porch. Hot tub a definite plus! Very cozy and a real cabin feel. Decorated well. Screened in porch is awesome! Mattress is a little hard and bed frame squeaks some so that may bring back memories. lol. A gazebo which is very nice. We hope to definitely visit again!

Peaceful Stay

The property was amazing!! Tranquil views and peaceful atmosphere! The owners are very helpful giving plenty of information of what is around the area. We had everything we needed there to cook and have an amazing experience. The sound as soon as you pull up is amazing the running water is so very refreshing and relaxing! Can’t wait to go back for a third trip!!! I would recommend this place to people that want a stay with the most amazing views and quaint towns!

Great getaway!

If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this is your place! The house sits right on the creek and is a beautiful backdrop. My suggestion is open the bedroom window and fall asleep to the soothing sound is the creek. You will sleep like a baby! The cabin is so cutely decorated with all the outdoor decor. Super cute! The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. Great cabin!

Away from the noise and confusion

Adults say- It was a relaxing place to be as it was very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was fabulous. Kids say- Hot tub was amazing and fun. Waking up next to the river was cool. Good place to bring our dog. He loved the river too!

Miss Nan's 1st Mountain Trip

The location was great for us because we like being secluded. We took our dog for her first mountain visit and she had a good time and celebrated her 1st birthday. The stream behind the house is pleasant to listen to but since the weather was cool we did not open the windows. It would be great during the summer. Would like to go back again.

Perfect Getaway Spot!

Everything was absolutely perfect and as described or better. Can’t wait to go back. This cabin is perfect for escaping reality for a few days or a romantic getaway. If you’re older with knee issues, this is your spot!!! Only one step as you enter the cabin. The hot tub is absolutely magnificent. Perfect size, water temp, and have never seen one any cleaner! This is just a great great cabin with great communication from the owners!

Peaceful

The worst part about our stay was we had to leave. Everything was clean, cozy and private. The views are spectacular and sounds coming off the creek are indescribable, to say it's soothing is an understatement. The little touches thru out the cabin really make you feel at home. Loved the gate on the back porch to keep pets or kids contained. Kitchen is fully stocked with any cookware you could need.
