"The check in staff were amazing, but when we went to the restaurant it all went down hill 100mph, the staff ignored us especially the self proclaimed sommelier, he needs a rocket, even with eye contact he completely chose to not see.....the food wasnt any better, gluggy potatoes full of cheese, dry beoff..no water as asked for when we finally were asked until we asked again later, poured our own wine, and many tables were in the same predicament.. mattress was terrible, but the toom otherwise...

"A friendly and helpful welcome to the Hotel and soon booked into our room and explained where to park our vehicle once we had unloaded. The hotel has a very traditional feel downstairs, charming. The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. "This little house is in an idyllc setting, just 6 miles or so from the the Dordogne river, with rolling hills in every direction. We both loved the views and the peace and quiet.There were issues with the property: (i) the double bed had a single duvet cover - not ideal when my husband is 6ft 2" and 20 stone (ii) the kitchen area is situated in the chimney breast. The lintel over the chimney breast is only about 5ft 3" - fine for me, but hopeless for my husband. He banged his head innumerable times (iii) the sofa was a sofa bed. It did not work as a bed, as it appeared to be broken and it was not very comfortable as a sofa"

"Excelllent over-the-phone service prior to check-in, reliable out-of-hours access (this is gold dust having been let down badly by a competitor just around the corner before), very comfortable room. Highly recommended. Once again, having had previously awful experiences, this hotel was excellent on all the metrics which count. Thank you!"

"Love this place and the house but the beds are too firm. If the beds were softer then it would be a solid 10/10 the pool hasn’t been available when we have been in April and October. Hot tub is in property next door and needs to be booked in advance at an extra 95. Nearest shop is 20 mins drive. But fantastic house, area and amenities. Merci beaucoup Valerie eat Jackques"
