"Great stay overall with a few drawbacks. The location is excellent (just steps from Playa La Ropa) and the pool was definitely the highlight, looking exactly like the pictures. Having access to laundry was also a big plus, especially for washing swimwear. On the downside, the property has very strict rules, and we were surprised that children had to pay extra, which wasn’t clearly stated on Expedia. There was also a loud noise around 8am each morning that woke us up, which took away from the overall experience. You’ll likely need a car to get around. The walk to and from the beach is a bit steep, and in the heat it can be pretty uncomfortable, I wouldn’t recommend it."

"The hotel is super cute and very nice. Clean and staff very friendly. It was perfect for my elderly mom who has trouble walking, it was so close to the beach and the 3 pools were very nice. Super recommended. "

"I can only echo the comments of others: El Mango is an exceptional vacation rental in an exceptional, beautiful, and unique town. Claire is knowledgeable, helpful, and quick to respond to all inquiries. This rental is a joy to be in, its design perfectly attuned to its location. The beach is a swimmer's delight and the town is full of great restaurants. As others have mentioned, access to the unit does require being adept with stairs. Access to town is easy with frequent local buses and taxis. I recommend Ël Mango without reservation. "

"Food and drinks were over priced. The quality of the food did not support the high cost. No music or entertainment to bring people to the pool area. It’s not as much a resort but a glorified hotel room. Ver low key and boring. Won’t be back. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this bright, beautiful condo. The view was incredible, the lap pool was a good size and it was never difficult finding a lounge chair poolside. The kitchen was well-stocked. All the bedrooms were comfortable and the size of the main area was more than adequate for three couples. Minor maintenance issues were dealt with in a timely manner. Emir was available to answer questions and to arrange for anything we needed.Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your peaceful retreat. "

"Villas del Vigía had the most amazing view I have come across! Unfortunately, all three beds that were included in the villa were extremely hard, almost rock hard. I mentioned to the person in charge that my mom, who was staying with me, could no longer put up with her back pain and if there was anything they could do (like switch the mattress for example) The reply was “we will see what we can do” and never hear back on that topic again, and a week later we checked out. If you can’t sleep on super hard beds, this is not a good option for you. I’m 35 years old and the hardness of the bed even kept waking me up at night. A few sofa cushions were completely ripped from zipper which I let them know, that way I wouldn’t be responsible for the damage. One stove burner did not work. The refrigerator was leaking water. On the positive, the place was very clean and the view was absolutely amazing."
