The Hocking Hills region boasts some of the most unique and beautiful landscape in the Northeast. This stunning private property features walking trails, treetop views, cliffs and caves. The surrounding area includes state parks, national forests, hiking trails, caves, canoeing, adventure parks, zip-lining, rock climbing, horse trails, as well as year-round festivals, winery and brewery events. Idyll Reserve is minutes away from the area's main attractions.

The South Cabin and The Main House (Idyll Reserve | 1 and 2) were built with guests with limited mobility in mind; with a zero entry, step-less ramp from parking to main entrance, and an open, flat floor plan. These cabins may not be suitable for guests who are completely dependant upon wheelchairs - our bathrooms and kitchens are spacious, but do not have modified accessibility features. Please let us know directly if there are any other accommodations we can provide to make your stay more enjoyable.

The South Cabin, bright and bold, with clean lines and a modern aesthetic is the perfect place for an intimate getaway for a creative couple, a small family, or a few friends. The cabin features a large great room with fully equipped kitchen, a large living and dining area and a gas fireplace. A private sauna, hot tub, fire pit , gas grill and a cozy lounge area complete your outdoor paradise.
This cabin may be suitable for guests with accessibility needs with a ramp from parking, and step-less entry to all interior areas of the cabin. Please message us to discuss individual needs.

We recommend driving your own vehicle as ride-sharing and public transit are limited in our area. The driveway is gravel and offers parking space for 2 cars at each cabin. Two shared, complimentary EV chargers are located on the property and available for your use.

Propane for gas grill and firewood for fire pit provided. There is a pack-n-play with bedding, a high chair, and children's dishes and utensils stored in each cabin. Pets are not permitted in this cabin, however well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Cabin and The Hillside, and The North (Idyll Reserve | 3, 4 & 5).

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. The weather was rainy but that just gave us more time to enjoy the spa-like amenities of the cabin. The sauna and hot tub were extremely relaxing. And sonos speakers, great kitchen, and amazing bathroom made for a rejuvenating three days. I would highly recommend!

Labor Day Weekend at Idyll

Perhaps not the best time to be in hocking hills (not quite fall colors, overly busy weekend on the trails and still pretty warm by Ohio standards), however this Cabin made up for all of that with it's incredible styling, modern amenities and just cozy feeling. I've been to a few cabins in HH before but this one takes the cake, easily. It is a little on the expensive side, but with all the features they've added to this cabin, it more than makes up for it. Highly recommend!

Anniversary Get-Away!

I had very high expectations for Idyll Reserve after finding it on Instagram a few months ago. The South cabin was even better than we were hoping! We loved the espresso machine and cooking meals together. The sauna and hot tub were super relaxing. We loved Rock House & Old Man's Cave hikes nearby. A great way to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary!

Beautiful Design & Extra Mile

My husband and I loved staying here. The property is so pretty and quiet, and the design of the cabins are so pretty. They really go the extra mile in terms of cleanliness, and hospitality. When we walked in soft music was playing, and there was a bottle of wine and a gift bag. And the wine was a good Cab! I would come here again.

Superb

This place is really top notch. Everything you could want from a home away from home stay. Fully equipped kitchen with multiple coffee options, great WiFi, Sonos music system, easy to use TV - the list goes on. The hot tub and sauna were a dream. Super easy to use and really well looked after. The fire pit was lovely and there are plenty of logs available. We honestly had the best 2 nights here and we’ll be sure to come back sometime soon.

Incredibly relaxing stay

We stayed in the South cottage for three nights. The property is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Very little sounds around you, except for the wildlife. 1 million stars at night. The cabin is extremely well appointed and decorated with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay, including cooking, great meals, which we did. The property is also extremely close to the popular, hiking destinations in Hocking Hills. We will be back!

A true romanic getaway

Idyll Reserve is stunning with attention to all the details. We arrived to soft music playing and a complimentary bottle of wine. We had everything we needed for a romantic overnight and felt downright spoiled. Next time we would bring food to cook as access to restaurants is a 20-30 minute winding road drive and we would have preferred to spend our time enjoying this space more.

Private Spa Retreat

Stayed a night in February '24. Everything was just as advertised. A cool, modern new space with high-end amenities and nice views. A nice sauna and hot tub and robes make it a private spa experience. Everything is thought out and explained. Would not hesitate to book again! (A king size bed would be awesome, but the queen that is there is nice)

We had a wonderful time at the South. It was pure luxury and we will definitely be back. There were a few amenities that did not work, such as the outdoor floor lights, the outdoor shower, and the indoor fireplace. But I trust those will be fixed in time, and they didn't detract substantially from our experience.

Amazing getaway!

Loved this place from the first look and it did not disappoint in person at all. Beautiful design for the cabin and the amenities were great. A sauna pod had just been installed so, on top of the relaxing jacuzzi, we definitely enjoyed that addition! I would gladly recommend Idyll Reserve cabins to anyone looking to get away and relax in nature. Also - Shout out to Laura! I had forgot some clothing at the cabin and she was able to quickly locate and have the items shipped back to my home! Thank you!

The most amazing getaway!

What a PERFECT, dreamy, wonderful getaway. Just a stunning retreat from the world with every single detail so thoughtfully considered and available. This place DRIPS with luxury but also does it in such an understated, subtle way that feels elegant and cozy. You feel at home but also like you’re totally separate from it all. State of the art, sleek and bright, we will add this to our family’s traditions. Laura (the host) was super lovely, communicated with me and answered all my questions as I was arranging this surprise for my hubby’s birthday! Just five stars - I wish I could give TEN!
