Eclipse
My wife and I and another couple came to the area to be within striking range of the eclipse totality. We also wanted to visit Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger, and a couple of distilleries. Found the house with no problem. Very pleasant area. Loved the main room. Nice big master bedroom. We all loved the house. The only issue was that the wi-fi had been damaged by a storm from the previous day. Communication with the owner was great but we couldn’t get it fixed. No biggie. Owner tipped us off to some good places to eat. Nice big hill behind the house had a good view. It was very close to the Wild Turkey Distillery but they weren’t giving tours due to remodeling. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Great Choice
We really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and rural which is exactly what we wanted. It was close enough to do some poking around at distilleries and also some antiquing. Make sure you drive around the horse country to the west of the property towards Lexington around Versailles and Midway. Beautiful!

Escape to the Country! Enjoy Peace & Quiet
Great location if you're planning to travel the bourbon trail AND experience local highlights. We found this "central location" for our stops that include Frankfort, Lexington, Louisville, Williamstown and the Bernheim Forest. It was a great central location to do so. Come "home" at the end of the day to a beautiful respite, sip the collection of the day and laugh with family around a campfire. Although a long way from Texas - we'd certainly choose this spot again!

The inside looks better than the outside and it’s seemed like it’s a half hour or less to all the fun places. Nice fire pit and chairs out back. Out in the country but neighbors still really close by. It was all good not great. Only complaint was the fly’s literally hundreds of them in the house they all gathered around the front high windows and were not much of a bother except as the died and ended up on the floors all over the house

Great cabin for a great time
The cabin is in a perfect location to experience bourbon tastings - from Louisville to Lexington, as well as so many other activities, like a horse farm tour. Away from towns makes this a place to see star filled night skies in peace. A hike up the hill (my wife said she could have used a tow-rope) gives great sunsets. The place was spotless, well kept, and as described in the listing and shown in the pictures. We spent only 4 nights and would have been comfortable staying longer. There were two adult couples and there was enough room that we didnt bang into each other. Nights were sipping bourbon and playing the Farkle game we found there. The location isnt in a town, but Kroger is just a few miles away. It's an easy drive to Louisville and Lexington is a bit closer. Four Roses (ended up our favorite) is a very short distance away. Thank you Vests for the use of your cabin. I would not hesitate a return trip and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

Great little place!
We couldn't have asked for better accomodations, and also location! The house itself was immaculately clean, and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the horse that came to visit the top of the ridge every evening when we had our bonfires. :) The location was great, allowing us to shoot to all of the distilleries in a decent amount of time. Check in and out was simple and the communication from the hosts was timely. I would highly recommend this little gem!

Wonderful girl's weekend!
My friends and I stayed here for a girl's weekend. The property and house are beautiful and we had a wonderful time! The owners put a lot of thought into your comfort while staying there. The kitchen was stocked with snacks and the fridge was stocked with bottled water. The house is spacious and comfortable, and sitting out on the wraparound porch is absolutely lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Green Cabin on the Bourbon Trail
Great location, very close to Wild Turkey and conveniently located; easy drives to Frankfurt, Lexington and Bardstown. Property was as described with two nice bedrooms and nice sized bathrooms. Amenities were great, hosts left water bottles and an ample supply of snacks. Very quiet at night on a very low traffic road. Would definitely go back for a second stay.

Two nights stay served as our home away from home allowing us to enjoy Bourbon Trail like locals. Great setting to leave busyness and hustle behind and catch up before venturing out again. Would stay again if in area !

Wonderful Stay!
What a great find! This house was so cozy and provided everything we needed! Loved the front porch swing, the beautiful sunsets, and the peacefulness. Location was excellent for trips to Lexington, Frankfort, and all distilleries around. Look forward to staying here again when we return to the Bourbon Trail. Highly Recommend. Beautiful (Very Clean) Home Along the Bourbon Trail
As a birthday present, my wife, son, and daughter-in-law took me to Kentucky in mid-May to visit the Bourbon Trail. We spent 3 nights in this beautiful home. It is centrally located for the eastern side of the Bourdon Trail (approx. 5 min from Wild Turkey; 15 min to Four Roses; 30 min to Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve); approx. 10 min outside downtown Lawrenceburg; 30 min outside Lexington; and 1 hour east of Louisville. This home was in immaculate condition and in an extremely quiet neighborhood. The home was also well-stocked with snacks, coffee, and bottled water. I give this VRBO my highest possible rating. Thanks for sharing it!

Definetely recommend this place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was terrific. The tv is on an antenna so we should've brought a chromcast stick or firestick. Plenty of coffee supplies, and oatmeal packets available for breakfast. The snacks were a nice surprise!

We had a great experience staying at this VRBO and would both recommend it to others and stay again if we were in the area. The location was central to the bourbon distilleries we were interested in visiting in Lexington, Lawrenceburg and Bardstown as well as the races at Keeneland. The accommodations were clean and stocked with what was needed. Loved hanging out on the front porch with coffee in the mornings and even saw a few deer running around. Chris communicated information and responded to questions in a timely manner. Overall a great experience!

Excellent location, off the grid and totally relaxing. Slight problem checking in but resolved itself quickly and minimum fuss. Could have communicated better on media access but made up for it with excellent variety of DVDs and snack foods and bottled water, coffee and all the other little amenities that made the stay quite enjoyable. Highly recommend this place and when traveling through bourbon country again I will book it..

Weekend Getaway
With a purpose to explore the Bourbon Trail, this cabin worked well for our group of four. It was quiet, comfortable,and equipped with furnishings with a comfortable cabin feel. Its location gave us the chance to visit neighboring areas on different days. After the day away, it was nice to come back to space to the comforts of home (comfortable beds, rain showerheads, and the ability to do laundry as needed). Had the weather been warmer, we would have made use of the quaint front porch and firepit in back. If you are looking for a quiet, rustic hideaway, this place is for you.

We enjoyed our stay at the green cabin on the hill. It was our first time visiting the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and we had a great place, great location to come home to at the end of each day. The bed was comfortable. The cabin was cozy and cute. We plan to come back when the weather is warmer.

Great location for exploring the local Bourbon distilleries. Very clean, and perfect for two couples traveling together. Our only disappointment was that the fireplace was not working and we had chosen this VRBO over other options due to the fireplace. PERFECT location and thoughtful amenities!
This cabin is cute, cozy, and perfect for exploring the Bourbon Trail. We were minutes from Woodford Reserve, The Stave restaurant, and Castle and Key, all of which we loved. Chris’s place is clean, great for two couples (two full baths, and an upstairs/downstairs location for privacy) and had welcome amenities like plenty of towels and some snacks. The Christmas decorations were a festive and thoughtful touch. Would highly recommend.

We loved the country setting and enjoyed strolling around the acres of hills where this lovely country house sits. The house is decorated very nice and was well cleaned. The special treats left in the kitchen for guests was a much appreciated added perk.

Peaceful country setting
Peaceful country setting was just what we were looking for. Loved the wrap around porch, hillside that we could walk up on to view the countryside, huge DVD collection, and stocked kitchen supplies including breakfast bars, popcorn and water. Comfortable cabin just outside of town
The cabin was stocked with most everything one would need. Grocery stores were close. If your purpose for visiting is the Bourbon Trail, this place is ideal. It was a bit disappointing that the gas fireplace was not working but the owner did his best to try to repair it. Over all, a comfortable experience.

The property was well maintained and clean and welcoming inside the house. There were snacks and bottled water available as well as cabinets with everything needed for cooking meals if needed. We didn't use them. We used coffee makers though. We liked the property.

I highly recommend this property. We have rented 6 or so vrbo houses and this was the cleanest and exactly as pictured. Coffee, breakfast bars, & snacks were provided and much appreciated. Chris responded immediately to any questions. The house is out in the country but it is still very close to everything.

We had a wonderful friends getaway in Kentucky! The house was great and we had a ton of fun hanging out visiting and catching up. We are already talking about a trip next year. I’ve rented several homes throughout the years and this one is definitely at the top of the list. The hosts are available to answer any questions and offer recommendations. They also had a nice little touch of several snacks!
