"We knew what to expect as a desert camp. Accomodation was as expected. Our first room had an issue with the smell so the staff organised us in a new room. No problem and they were very helpful. The only issue about our whole stay was that one of the more senior staff was unhappy about something and yelled for sometimes after the staff and was very loud and we fell really bad about it.It's really unfortunate as it put a dark cloud on our stay. Everything else was good about our stay."

"I stayed at Wadi Rum for one night. The owner provided dinner for me free of cost because we arrived late. The dinner was chicken, rice and vegetables along with ample amount of tea. Mohammad, the person running the camp was a nice man and we had a pleasant conversation along with a Polish family. The camp is basic with no amenities in the bathroom but thats the whole point of camping. This is not luxury camping but the people running the camp are very hospitable. "Atallah didn't know or forgot he had a reservation. A few different guides and accommodations' people called Atallah for me (closed/no answer) or commented that Atallah didn't have any reservations. Seems like they all know each other; and 'Atallah" is a common name. But, it came down to me leaving Wadi Rum for Aqaba instead."

At this camp you are reliant on them to pick you up and book activities because essentially you’re in the middle of nowhere (and actually not even in Wadi Rum, but outside of it). The owner will charge you based on how much he thinks you’ll pay, include secret commissions, changing you room and calling it an “upgrade”, making you feel trapped and pay for a transfer to the village, and sells you...
