Cozy Cabin located in the heart of the Black Hills, but close to Deadwood & Lead

Rustic Retreat is a fully furnished cabin in the heart of the Black Hills, great for all occasions and is perfect for family vacations, or a couples weekend getaway. Directly located in Central City, our property is minutes from Historic Deadwood which boasts shopping, casinos and many restaurants to choose form. Rustic Retreat has a furnished kitchen, all you need to bring is the food. The cabin has two bedrooms with one queen bed each and an electric fireplace for those chilly evenings/mornings. There is a single bathroom with a shower. All linens and towels are provided to make your stay more comfortable. Enjoy the slopes of Terry Peak just 4 miles from the cabin. There area also has snowmobiling trails, walking trails, golf courses, hunting, scenic highways and ATV trails. This cabin is also perfect for a quiet weekend away from it all.

The cabin is in a very good location from which to explore the northern Black Hills area. We found the accommodations completely adequate for our group of 4 friends.

This property is a quaint little cabin that offers easy access to Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon. The covered deck, grill and blackstone griddle are very nice features.

Awesome location

The owners are awesome to communicate with. Place is perfectly located between the hustle of Deadwood and small town Lead. Pizza lab is just down the street, great food! Great location!!

Cozy Cabin

Nice place! It has everything one would need and then some. We enjoyed our stay there even though we were out and about most of the time. A good place for us to end the days. Quite and off the beaten path. Small store, pizza, bar and auto parts all within walking distance.

We needed some time away from the hectic summer schedule. The cabin was a perfect get away for us. Got to do a little site seeing and lots of relaxing! Cute little cabin tucked away. Good food in the area too! We would definitely go back!

Cozy Cabin for sure!

We LOVED the style of this cozy cabin. It had that perfect touch and was amazing to have our own space on a long vacation compared to hotel rooms. We cooked meals for a break from restaurants. The patio and bedrooms and all the space couldn’t have been better. Easy check in and check out. Just what we wanted in a vacation rental!

Nice quiet location

Very nice quiet location. Wildlife in the back yard. The covered deck is awesome. We ate all our meals outside on the deck. I can’t think of anything I’d change to make it better. Our family had a great time!

Perfect Getaway Cabin

This was a fantastic home that immediately made you feel welcome. It is the perfect size for a small group or family to sit back and relax. My favorite parts of the property were the spiraling staircase and outdoor deck. Dean and Teresa were extremely friendly and answered any questions we had. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks for the hospitality!

Black Hills Blast

My wife and I had a wonderful stay and a terrific time in the Deadwood/Lead area. The cabin was absolutely fabulous, everything was supplied, other than food. The surrounding area was unique and quiet, even saw deer. The rooms were spacious with lots of linens, blankets and pillows. If you're planning an extended visit to the area, this place should be on your list for a place to stay. You won't regret it.

Outstanding Experience

This is a fantastic place to stay. It was just what we were looking for. The back patio is a great spot to enjoy a cup of your morning coffee without being disturbed by neighbors. We were able to see deer standing in the yard every morning that we were there! The cabin was very clean and cozy. Everything was easy to find and the hosts were easy to work with. We had no problems. We will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future.

We had a nice stay riding the North hills. Cabin was cozy and as described. Street is a little narrow but hosts were accommodating. Lumpy’s was our evening stop nice local people! We were able to ride from the cabin to trails. Enjoyed the blackstone, although the guests prior to us left it coated in their eggs. An enjoyable stay would stay again.

Great Place to Stay

We really enjoyed the cabin. It's decorated beautifully with rustic nik naks. It had a very comfortable and relaxing vibe. It was kept very clean and had all the essentials that were needed. We did receive excellent communication from the owners when we had to reach out. We visited custer park, badlands, Mount Rushmore and wall drug. They were all about an hour and a half away from the cabin. Deadwood was pretty cool too.

2023 trip

My brother and I stayed here while deer hunting in the hills. It is in a great location and quiet. Extremely inviting, warm, clean and very comfortable. We stayed back in 2017 as well and will continue to as the host are wonderful and accommodating. My wife saw the pictures and immediately asked if we could go up there and stay and we are planning that trip. Thanks you so much Dean and Teresa!!

Comfortable, Quiet Cabin

We loved our stay! The cabin is in a great location - just a few minutes from Deadwood & Lead. The neighborhood was quiet, which we prefer. We have a family of 4 with a 12 yr old and 14 yr old. They were glad to have their own spaces to sleep. Beds were comfortable. I liked the heated mattress pads! Fans were available for white noise which was a bonus (we didn't need them for cooling). Owners responded very quickly when we had questions. We highly recommend staying here!

Just as advertised. Fun erustic retreat with easy access to Deadwood, Lead, Sturgis and beyond. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the quiet and privacy. Small nik for those expecting high speed internet, tho. Internet speed was too slow for uninterrupted evening movies or Prime Video...very jerky and on. But if youre there to escape all that...it was awesome!
