This was the perfect size cabin for our little getaway. I loved the location of this cabin, im a fan of no close neighbors and nothing but nature around. We spent a lot of time on the deck with that amazing view. The rest of the cabin was amazing with everything that was provided, can't say one negative thing.
Love the location, it is definitely secluded yet still just a short drive to Deadwood/Lead and Spearfish. The cabin had plenty of cookware and such. Beds are comfortable in the cabin, the bunk house i was told the mattresses are more for kidssize. There was 8 people staying total and we all enjoyed the view from the deck.
The property was clean and well stocked. The property manager was extremely easy to work with and gave us a place to park our trailers for our side by sides because there wasn’t room right up by the house. We managed to fit 3 trucks and 4 side by sides up at the house. We will definitely keep this place on the list for next year! Thank you!
Our family of 4 took a trip to Deadwood and were fortunate to have the opportunity to stay in this great property. The drive to the property was easy and direction brought us right to the front door. Peaceful, clean, comfortable, and just a treat to stay at.
I had a couple of questions during the stay and the response was timely and very helpful. The price was reasonable for the area in comparison to other VRBO offerings, and the overall stay was great. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, getaway when you are in the Deadwood area, this property has everything you will need.
The property was everything that was shown. Great location and view. Some suggestions, deep clean is in order, lots of dead bugs. Also, the handle on the kitchen faucet is broken, hard to do the dishes. We did not have a screw driver to fix it.
We had a fantastic time staying at the cabin. It has awesome views, great privacy, and cozy accommodations. The kids loved the bunk house! Everyone had some privacy within the house, too, and we loved the upstairs fireplace.
The only problem we had was the microwave. It started sparking on day 2, so we couldn’t use it. We did contact the property manager on Friday but never heard back. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.
In nicer weather it would have been perfect!! The outside deck was huge. The interior space was much smaller than we expected. There were plenty of bedrooms but the kitchen/dining/living area were quite small. As a family of five we were crowded into the living room. The hosts had the place set up perfectly however! Everything we needed to cook a thanksgiving meal was available. We really enjoyed our stay!
We had a fantastic stay at Twisted Pines. The location was very private and the house had everything we needed and more. The deck had a beautiful view and we only used one bedroom (the largest), which had a comfortable bed and bedding. We really enjoyed our stay and were even able to use the fireplace (in June!) since it was quite chilly for some of the time we were there. The house is a quick drive to Lead and Deadwood, which was helpful. Thanks so much!
We were looking for something "off the grid", away from people. This was perfect! There were a few houses nearby but for the most part we were secluded. The only complaint we have was the jumanji game...we could not figure that game out. lolWould definitely stay there again!
Need better beds for the price we pay to stay there.
We pay a pretty good fee to stay here there should be a lot better beds. These beds are so bad that my husband and daughter in law hurt so bad they can’t walk now.
Wow! Very roomy well kept home. We enjoyed our stay, we were in the middle of all the great tourist sites. We had full use of the home and the deck is great (some big flies lol). The road heading up the house was a little scary at first, but only that first trip. The driveway is steep but you can park down below. We had an issue with the hot water, but this was taken care of quickly with a simple text message. I would recommend this home for your next vacation home!!!! If I make it back to SD, I would stay here again. Thank you for making another memory for our bucket list.
Gorgeous views, very private, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore kept us entertained on the deck. Lots of wildlife! Sitting on the deck watching the clouds move and then feeling the clouds go thru was was so cool! Close to atv rental in lead, close to deadwood. The driveway took some getting used to... my family loved it, my fear of heights took a bit to get me ok with travel on it ;) anytime i reached out they were quick to reply. Water pressure in the kitchen on hot was zero, we just ran it while prepping meal and got a full sink by the time we needed to wash. We would stay again!
Absolutely beautiful property with great views. Secluded to where you felt alone, even though there are houses just down the hill. The long driveway up the mountain is a great entrance. Large deck for sitting outside and relaxing. Gas firepit and gas grill, piped into the house gas was great, never worried about running out propane. The grill was even in a covered portion of the deck which was nice! The 4 individual bedrooms were great for my group. 2 bathrooms were nice vs only 1 in most mountain properties. The garage was definitely small, could not fit a pickup in there, but the 4-door jeep wrangler fit no problem. Having internet available with Wi-Fi was an awesome perk especially when it rained hard one of the days we were out there so didn't feel like doing too much outside. Overall I very much enjoyed this property and will definitely look to book again when I'm in the area!
