The cabin was wonderful. We enjoyed the sunsets and viewing deer in the backyard. The beds were very comfortable. The location of the cabin was perfect for our day trips to various attractions.
Great place, really enjoyed this cabin and the location for skiing and snowmobiling was ideal. Check in and check out a breeze. Secluded area even though cabins are in general area. I would stay there again... very nice setup throughout cabin.
We had a great time. The cabin location was great! Loved the deck and fire pit. The hot tub was a big hit. We all had a fabulous time. Would rent again. We have already recommened your cabin to a few other people.
We came to celebrate a friend who is getting married. We did not spend a lot of time at the house, but when we were there it was everything we could have asked for!
Cabin had all we needed and we cooked several meals. It snowed fair amount and this cabin is up a hill which had us concerned but the roads and driveway were plowed promptly. Great weekend!
This was a great location to get into Deadwood. We enjoyed being on top of the hill with a bit more privacy than some of the other properties. Got to see DEER outside our door every morning.
Will be BACK!
Good location with beautiful views. We saw deer each morning and a surprise snowfall. Although we didn’t use it, we walked through the clubhouse. It would be great for kids and large groups.
This home was exactly as advertised only better. It's a beautiful home, well decorated and well equipped. I was considering a couple of other properties in this development but chose Yeti for its privacy. Only the two of us but you could comfortably accommodate many more. Would definitely chose again.
Our stay was wonderful. The kids settled in quickly as it was a lot like home. When we had a question we received a quick response. We would definitely recommend and stay again.
My family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at the Yeti cabin during the month August. It’s nestled against the woods at the top of the hill which makes it a haven for wildlife and gives a private feel. Every morning we watched as deer, turkeys, birds and chipmunks came right up to our porch (We may have encouraged them by offering a few treats:-). The place was very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated!! The hot tub was perfect for early mornings and nights. The kitchen is well equipped, and a small collection of seasonings were available. There were even several flashlights in the drawer, which was very helpful on our night walks:-) Owner was helpful and quick to respond to questions. My only small suggestions would be more towel hangers in the bathrooms and maybe updating the DVD player, as the sound quality is too terrible to enjoy any movie. I would absolutely recommend this cabin for any family looking to explore, hike, or just relax and get away! Thanks for a wonderful South Dakota experience!!
A couple of things to note: There are actually 2 full baths and 2 half baths (an extra bathroom was a pleasant surprise!). Also, the 4th bedroom in the basement has (1) bunk bed (not 2 sets of bunk beds) with a single over double bed and a pull out single mattress. We had plenty of beds for our family, but worth mentioning for other travelers.
We stayed atYeti cabin with spouse, daughter and SON-IN-LAW; son And DAUGHTER-IN-LAW. Three grandkids: seven Year old girl, almost 7 year old girl, and 4 year old grandson. Each and everyone loved the Yeti! The accommodations were perfect for a vacation in the Black Hills of SD, which we love.
We loved the home, location, views, and all the wildlife we saw. We will be back for sure.
We missed having a TV in the Master bedroom, other than that the house was perfect.
The cabin is as it’s pictured, maybe even nicer. After a few failed attempts at VRBO’s I was pleasantly surprised by everything at this place. So homey, beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen....and CLEAN. Look forward to more stays at the Yeti!
What a nice surprise to drive up to the cabin at dusk and find it festively decorated inside and out with lights and Christmas decorations. The comfortable furniture with the gas fireplace, and beautiful christmas tree made the main floor living area a great place to relax and enjoy a good book or a movie. I was very happy to see instructions to keep the hot tub sanitized and safe to use - having a soak before bed was wonderful. This cabin is at the end of the road - it has a little more privacy that some of the others in the area if that is what you are looking for.
Overall, we enjoyed the cabin. Roomy, comfortable and nicely furnished. The mattresses in the loft and downstairs bunk beds weren't comfortable and sagged alot. I chose to sleep on the couch, which had more support. The loft does not have a door on it and the heat and noise traveled up to my room. Some of the remotes were missing batteries. The loft has a half bath, but no towel bars to hang damp towels to dry. I had to use hangers in the closet. I would have loved to open the window for fresh air, but the handle was missing. It would be nice if there was a clock hanging on a wall in the kitchen/living area. Did not find instructions for the TV. The driveway is steep and might be a little challenging if you don't have front or all wheel drive.
We really enjoyed our stay at Yeti Hideout. The cabin was very accommodating for our family vacation, which included grandparents down to a two week old baby. The grandparents had the master bedroom and stated the bed was so comfortable that they had to take a picture of the label so they could buy one for home. 😂 The basement was the perfect set-up for us with the older kids in the bedroom with the bunk bed and us parents in the other basement bedroom. There was a toy box with a few toys, a basket with cute books and a couple games for the kids. We loved the Gilded Mountain development and can’t wait to go back!
Overall, the property is in a very secluded and in a quiet area, it is less than 20 to 30 minutes away from anything you might need or have forgotten. It is a very nice location to accommodate all the sights in the western South Dakota area. We were on a motorcycle excursion so the only draw back to the property was the steepness of the gravel driveway, some of the guys opted to park on the street and shuttled them up the hill.
