Lake Erie's charming 4 season Lake Houz with BBQ, Fire Pit & more

Our LakeHouz is 4 Season & accommodates up to 6 people w/ 2 bedrooms including a spacious loft with king bed , electric fireplace, workspace, smart TV, mini fridge & private Ensuite with Jacuzzi Tub & stand up shower… a perfect little retreat with great lots of windows and gorgeous views Sunrises on the lake. The main floor bedroom has a comfy Queen bed & quality linens, lots of drawer space & walk-in closet.

Our spacious family room includes a wood burning stove for those chilly fall / winter days and evenings, a Queen size Murphy Bed, smart TV , a large family friendly coffee table perfect for the family to sit around for hours playing games or just hanging out. We offer plenty of books, magazine, puzzles and games… something for everyone, including children’s books & crossword puzzles.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with spice rack, mixing bowls, air fryer, hand mixer, rice cooker & more! The dining table seats 6 + 3 bar stools for gathering around the island with family & friends. We also have a fun high top bar/ table for a cup of morning Joe overlooking beautiful lake views, Watching ducks and fishing boats on the lake, this table also doubles as a workspace fitted w/ a power bar & USB charging.

Our living spaces are all designed with family and friends gathering in mind. Each area is spacious enough for everyone to hang out, including our fun sunny Screened in porch perfectly fitted with a bar fridge for extra drinks, a comfy conversational set, patio table for meals over looking beautiful sunsets, coat & boot rack, and more games & magazines living rooms.

Our outdoor spaces include a propane BBQ, fire pit, outdoor dining for 6, and more.
Our LakeHouz has been coined a birders paradise with the most beautiful views of sunrises & sunsets… It doesn’t hurt that we’re Neighbours with local Birding guide and expert “Pelee Birding”.

This isn’t just a cottage. It’s truly a home away from home and offers all the comforts you’d want & more. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do and as much our guests have since August 2022 … making memories for years to come

Family quality time together

We enjoyed our stay. Inside is nice and clean. BBQ should be changed, it’s falling a part. Also, all outside chairs were covered in spiderwebs.

Lovely place

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was beautiful and clean with a well stocked kitchen. So nice to sleep with the windows open and hear the roar of Lake Erie at night!

Perfect place!

The Lake Houz has an amazing view, is very clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing getaway. It is in a quiet area and just a short drive to Point Pelee National Park. We enjoyed our stay, thank you so much!

Birding Getaway

Beautiful, well maintained property with a very well equipped kitchen. The views from the cottage overlooking the lake were amazing and it is ideally located near Point Pelee NP and Hillman Marsh. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Absolute Gem!

The property was lovely and the view over the water was breath taking. The host thought of everything! Beautiful cottage with very thoughtful decorating, such a gorgeous place. Close enough to amenities but a nice quiet spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great full amenity getaway..

Everything was great except the deck really could of used a spring cleaning.. We also could of used a few more face cloths and towels and we couldn't find a pizza cutter.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage was comfortable, cozy and well presented. We enjoyed being right by the lake with all amenities at our disposal. Our host was responsive and accessible to us throughout. Highly recommend.

Weekend Birding

Very pleasant place to stay! I wish we had a little extra time to sit on the dock or play the giant Jenga in front solarium/covered porch. We still managed to have a campfire after our birding excursions at least. I definitely recommend staying here if you can and we'll certainly consider coming back here in the future.

Helene & Al's place was wonderful. The listing was as described and to be honest it was even nicer than we expected. The house is well stocked for a family, couples or friends stay. Quiet area and the deck overlooking the lake was lovely. The sound of the waves lapping on the breakwater was the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you're planning on staying in the Leamington/Kingsville area, this is the perfect place. ❤️

Come for the views, stay for the amenities

Loved Helene & Al's Lake Houz. It was one of the most well-stocked within the kitchen and the bathrooms as well! Enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the upper floor bathroom. The views are absolutely amazing. It is peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway with a small group. We also brought our dog and she had fun with the small box of toys available. Helene & Al were excellent communicators - with detailed instructions and answered questions promptly. Overall just a beautiful stay in Leamington - close to Point Pelee Park, and the town to stock up on anything else you need (although we barely needed to go anywhere else because it was such a cozy stay) Thank you Helene & Al!!!

Beautful cottage and property

We had an amazing stay at Helene and Al's Lake Houz. The loft area with attached spa like ensuite is a dream. The kitchen had everything and anything you could need to prepare meals and the large dining table made it easy to enjoy them. The outside areas are set up perfectly to enjoy the OMG lake views or to relax by the fire and roast some marshmallows. The sunroom was perfect to sip morning coffee while reading or doing a puzzle. Helene and Al have thought about it all. All the amenities you could need in a home away from home. The location is perfect, a short drive to Pelee Point National Park or the town of Leamigton, yet just far enough away to be away from the hustle. Make sure to go for a sundown walk to enjoy the fireflies, so magical!

The inside was great but the outside no so, I wish there was a leaf blower to help keep the white stuff off the decks and clean, It looks like the windows haven't been cleaned for years, thanks for the week

We love it here so much we've stayed a few times now. This really is a beautiful piece of paradise with something for everyone to enjoy. Fully appointed with everything you need. Close enough to any shopping or adventures you want to do yet located perfectly away from all the busy life. A real gem.

The perfect getaway

This cottage is perfect for a mini getaway. We enjoyed the welcome gift and the small touches. The indoor outdoor games were fun, the record player added a nice touch. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to cook our meals in. It helped to have the cooking essentials (oils, spices and seasonings already in the cupboard). The sunsets and sunrises were amazing and the family pass for Point Pelee was a thoughtful touch. The boardwalk and lookout towers were worth the visit. We can’t wait to come back!
