"We had an excellent stay here! We got to enjoy the pool for a little bit and even though it is smaller, it is perfect for relaxing. The room was perfect for us and breakfast was excellent. We loved the lobby, the kids got to play tons of games while we got to hang out with friends. The complementary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and flavored water was wonderful for the kids as well. There are also plenty of snacks and other drinks that you can purchase as well that are not just your regular vending machine snacks. The staff was very friendly and stayed on top if everything. We will absolutely be back for another stay! "

"Check in was quick and easy. This hotel was completely sold out for the weekend. We stayed here with our dance competition team for three days and two nights. The team hung out in the lobby, ordered take out, and enjoyed some adult beverages. The staff was GREAT all the way around from check in to breakfast team, and housekeeping. The price of the hotel was also a plus with having a complete kitchen, we were able to also enjoy meals in the room to save some money. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. "

"I was extremely pleased with my stay at the Microtel in Ames. It was much cleaner, nicer, and quieter than any of the similarly priced hotels where I've stayed in the area. I was especially pleased with the service I received when I checked in. The heating system in my room was not functioning, which I understand can happen. After making a quick check to see if he could fix it, the desk clerk immediately and happily assigned me another, nearby room. He brought me a new key card, waited while I unloaded my bags from the bell cart, and took the cart back to the lobby for me. Kudos!"
