Staff was very friendly, and room was spacious and had great AC and a small balcony to sit at and enjoy the fresh air in the evening. Breakfast was a you would expect in Germany: cold cuts, some bacon and scrambled eggs, cereals and choice of 6 yogurts. It's a bit outside the city of Heidelberg, but if a fridge and AC and modern convenience for a great price is important to you, this is the place!

he hotel is overall good. The desk and wait staff are fantastic. Breakfast is nice and hotel seems relatively new. The beds are extremely firm. The pillows are very think and hard too. I had neck ache for two nights until I started sleeping without a pillow. The cleaning staff is not so good. My towel despite being out on floor to indicate it was in need of cleaning got folded and put back in “clean” pile. Two nights in row. know this because my sons toothpaste stain was on towel.

Very good overall
Extremely helpful staff, centrally located, very clean and comfortable. We reached at 12am at night when check-in was closed but it was all automated and I could get my keys and check-in on my own and pay before I left. Very good experience overall

Arrived late, left very early before breakfast so can't say much about the staff. They were plesant for or little interaction. The room was nice and clean.

Good for short stays
Location is a bit isolated with nothing interesting nearby, otherwise it is not bad for short stays, it even has air conditioning.

This is a family-run hotel - clean, functional, and very friendly staff. Perfect for a hassle-free, short-term stay - even with family. Only small drawback - if you have a balcony you might have your neighbors outside AC unit on your balcony (in addition to yours).

Great value 20 minutes from Hockenheimring
No complaints although hotel has no bar or restaurant a very good Italian and bar next door. Good restaurants with 10 minutes walk

Excellent hotel
Room provided was upgraded to a suite with separate lounge from the bedroom. TV in both rooms, mini bar drinks at a reasonable price. Everything worked as expected. There was a good choice of dishes for breakfast. The hotel allowed me a late checkout as I was meeting a new customer the following morning. We were able to use the room until 12.00 and then a table in the breakfast room. The separate restaurant offered very good food for a reasonable price. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful, would certainly stay again if in the area on business.

Excellent hotel near Heidelberg
Very large clean room for 3 people with AC, balcony, minibar, large bathroom. Tram(light rail) at 10 min walking to Heidelberg(30 min ride). Nice Italian restaurant nearby. Excellent breakfast(9.50 Euro) and free paring space. Friendly staff.

This hotel was great! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The local train station to Heidelberg and the cross city train station to Stuggart were both a 15 minute walk. They offer a breakfast buffet that smelled great. There is also a store located a block away.

Great hotel in Heidelberg area
This was the first hotel on a 2 week trip with 9 other friends. Only one other hotel compared with the great quality. The front staff was great, rooms large, solid breakfast, good bar, easy parking, and lots of eating choices within a medium walk /short drive. While this was a pass through location, we will stay here again if we stay in the Heidelberg area.

Absolutely Wonderful Hotel!
Wonderful hotel! Absolutely wonderful! Clean, quiet, comfortable room, great neighborhood, outstanding WiFi connection. Staff speaks excellent English. Nadine was absolutely wonderful! We had some difficulty straightening out a bill from a different hotel, Nadine spent considerable time calling the other hotel on our behalf, translating the conversation from German to English, faxing information to the other hotel, and receiving a confirmation fax from the other hotel...we could not have asked for better service from Nadine, and best of all we were not charged for this extra work...this is excellent service. She was very efficient and worked very hard to make our stay comfortable. This hotel is very close to Heidelberg, drive to Pleikartsforster Strasse, park your car in the neighborhood, and take the 33 bus to Bismarkplatz to the Alt Stadt (historic center).

Nice hotel close to Heidelberg
Stayed in this hotel for three nights while doing some sight-seeing in the area. Leimen is a sleepy town, but the hotel is located close to an expressway to Heidelberg. It offers a good breakfast, but does not serve other meals. However, an Italian restaurant with an Italian chef and owner recently opened beside it which served great food. I also appreciated the air conditioning, good wifi connection, and plenty of space for unpacking.

I just needed a good rest after a long journey to Europe this place was exactly what they advertised ,good price considering European Hotels room was clean, thanks good they have an elevator for taking your baggage to the elevator ,hotel clerk was friendly and helpful .

Like staying at Grandma's I mean "Oma's" house.
Upon our arrival Diana Engelhorn showed us around the hotel answering questions we had about places to eat that were open late. We also asked about a place to do laundry as we had been traveling about a week prior to our arrival. They now have a washer and dryer guests can use for 3 euros. She took the time to show us where and how they operate. Everyone of the hotel staff is just as helpful going out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. It's almost like going to a relatives home!!!!! And don't even get me started on how fantastic the breakfast is.

We stayed here for one night in a lovely family room which was a 'mini suite'. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a meal in 'Carlos Restaurant' which was excellent. The staff were very friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again ourselves.

The rooms are elegant and spatious, with large balconies. The minibars are always full and the rooms have wine and water glasses. This was my second stay at this hotel, and it won't be the last.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. It was a very easy walk from the Hauptbahnhof to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. I had a balcony that overlooked the Rhine River. It was very easy to walk to the activities and sites on the river.

Reasonable priced and clean hotel.
This hotel is about 10-15 minutes drive to Heidelberg and the price is half or one third of hotels in Heidelberg. We have a car so driving 10 mins is not inconvenient. The breakfast is ok. The room is clean. We have 4 people including 2 children and the hotel already set up the sofa bed before we arrived. We enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.

Hotel Engelhorn i Leimen var en kjempestor positiv overraskelse - et familiehotell i ekte tysk ånd, noe som betyr at alt er på stell og man blir tatt glimrende vare på. Nyoppusset og fresht (ikke alle etasjer ferdige ennå). Velutstyrte rom, blant annet noe så uvanlig lag som en velfylt minibar. Stor flatskjerm-`TV, delikat bad. Samarbeidsrestaurant i samme bygg, også den var bra. Kort sagt: Frister til nye besøk senere!
Nyoppusset og tiltalende rom med bl.a. bra arbeidsbord.
