"Everything was perfect except for the length of our stay. Next time we are in the area, we will make sure to stay at least a full night if not for a few nights. The place was beautiful, great views, a fun 3 par course, and a nice pool (we didn't get to use). To top it off, the Palacio was a short 7 minute drive to the Bilbao airport, making it a no brainer for our trip. To to it all of, the staff was kind and helpful. All in all, I look forward to visiting again if I'm ever in the area."
"This is the 2nd time we've stayed here as part of our Camino. Love the building and the food is very good in the restaurant. Staff also good. It is however time to upgrade the rooms...especially the bathrooms. Option of eggs for breakfast would be nice."
"A great place to stay if you are driving through the area. I was headed to Getaria from Bilbao, and it was the perfect place to stop for a good night's rest. The bar was great as well. Highly recommended."
"Es n hotel maravilloso. Pequeño, con una decoración preciosa, la atención impecable, comida deliciosa, piscina preciosa frente al mar. Espectacular para parejas o amigos y con niños no muy pequeños"
"We had an incredible stay at Hotel Zerupe! All of the front desk staff were so friendly and had great recommendations for the area. The location cannot be beat- you can easily walk to restaurants, gelato, shops, and the beach! The hotel was very clean, and the air conditioning worked great. The hotel is in the pedestrian only area of the city, so you will need to walk about a block from where a car might drop you off to get to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, and I hope I get the chance to stay here again one day!"
"This was such a special place to stay. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast was excellent, and the housekeeping team was incredibly kind and helpful. The owners have clearly put an enormous amount of thought and care into this property. The attention to detail is top-notch. Everything feels intentional without feeling fussy, and that makes the whole place feel incredibly welcoming. The small deer fawn made a couple appearances too ❤️
But what I’ll remember most is the setting. The beautiful orchard, the peaceful grounds, and especially the upstairs room where I could just sit, look out over everything, and take it all in. There was something incredibly calming about being here. I had nowhere I needed to be and nothing I needed to do for a little while, just time to enjoy where I was.
My dad would have loved this place. I could hear exactly what he would have said: “Oh look, they’re apples. Those are pears…” And onward he would have gone, pointing out every kind of tree, how old he thought they were, and probably noticing a dozen things I had completely missed.
I lost my dad this spring, and somehow this was the perfect place to land for a couple of days. Surrounded by trees, quiet, and enough space to simply sit and remember him.
Beautiful, peaceful, thoughtful, welcoming, and a genuinely special part of my time in northern Spain. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"Location is perfect but if you’re driving, parking is a vey problematic, they don’t have a garage so you’ll be subjected to fight for a parking spot especially the weekend. The hotel itself is as advertised , old and charming. So no A/C , rooms are spacious and clean and the staff made up for all the inconveniences, very accommodating and helpful . I’ll still consider staying here next time"
