This was a very nice and affordable overnight stay for me and my husband for our anniversary. We enjoyed the proximity to Shakespeare and Co. and the convenience of the breakfast in the am. Even played a nice little game of chess on the lawn chess board before we headed out.

Beautiful historic Inn. Accommodations a bit rustic but everything you need they have. Beautiful back porch overlooking fabulous grounds to enjoy breakfast or a quiet evening.

Great breakfast, amazing property, comfortable beds! Water in shower wasn’t hot, had to take a “warm-cold” fast shower but it didn’t matter. The view, the quiet, nature and siting areas made the stay perfect. Will come again!!

We had a wonderful stay, it was just as we expected, A touch of old New England. Breakfast was Excellent. The one lady who greeted us and checked us in was super nice and upbeat. We walked the grounds and enjoyed this very much. Thanks for the experience.

This is a very good place with great proximity to Tanglewood. My room was super clean. The grounds are beautiful and there are hammocks, which I love. Terrace house is very motel like but comfortable bedding and clean.

The property was beautiful old world. However, the bathroom was a bit uncomfortable and needed to be updated in the main house guest room. We did like the close proximity to Tanglewood.

Could use some updates and the front desk attendant was less than attentive. But the grounds are beautiful, the room was clean, and the inn is in a great area in the Berkshires.

Beautiful proprrty...nice size, clean room. The breakfast was ok, but bagels still seemed frozen and fruit was not fresh. Otherwise, lovely facility.

Nice breakfast served on the front porch [or inside]. Room was quiet, good size, and attractive. Could have had more "charging assistant" devices [previous lodging had bed-side clock that you could plug in three electronic devices]. Parking was cramped, but they reimburse if you find you must park on metered parking nearby.

A lovely old grand dame of a property that could use some tender love as she is showing some signs of neglect. The entry doors don't give the best impression for example and the sheet- like cloth hanging near the piano ill chosen as a curtain. It was overall a pleasant place to be.

Great hideaway near everything

Lovely common areas to hang out. Great breakfast spread. Looked to be lovely grounds—unfortunately it rained while we were there, so didn’t have the chance to explore. Only downside was the outside lights. Although there were blinds in the room, they didn’t close tight enough to block out the porch lights which (for safety) are left on all night. Rooms need black out drapes.

The grounds of the property were spacious and beautiful. However, the quite expensive room was in an annex and was small , smelled dank , and was in poor repair. It was very unpleasant. If you reserve here make sure you are reserving in the main old country house building.
