Quiet get away

Another wonderful stay
This is our favorite place to stay when we visit the area. Ted and Sharon are wonderful hosts and the is immaculate. They think of everything from cookies on arrival to adding a grab bar for my mother. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Girl’s getaway

Charming Bungalow in Amish Country
We enjoyed our stay in this charming bungalow and found it to be scrupulously clean. The country decor felt peaceful and welcoming. The comfortable beds provided a good night's sleep. The kitchen was well stocked. There are many Amish neighbors, and we enjoyed watching the buggies from the front porch. The location is only a short drive from Sight and Sound Theatre, Psalm 23 Garden, Good's Store, and several shops and restaurants. We enjoyed spending time with Sharon and Ted. They were readily available to answer our questions and had several helpful suggestions. We hope to return next year.

Everything we needed
Clean, quiet and very well equipped. You need a car, but nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. Everything we needed and wanted to see was just a short drive away. Hosts were welcoming and came to say goodbye, but otherwise we didn't see them - perfect!

Meticulously maintained. Owners very friendly. Very well stocked and nice kitchen. We cooked dinners twice. If my daughter takes another contract at the theater in Lancaster we would like to stay again.

'lil' piece of Heaven !
We can't say enough about the house. It was immaculate. Sharon and Ted met us when we arrived and after visiting a short time, we felt we've been friends our whole lives. they are very knowledgeable of the area things to do places to go sites to see. it's very quiet at night. They have a beautiful outdoor area for you to sit in, although we didn't do that too much but we did visit and fast became friends. It is close to so many places to shop yet not a touristy area. It's country living at its best. Til our next visit our friends may God Bless you and keep you safe. Ron & Kelly

Sharon and Ted were 5star on all accountsand a nice touch with the homemade cookies. Everything we needed and the house was very clean . They gave us excellent directions to Sight and SOUND. The following has nothing to do with the Bungalow but is focusing on the directions to the Bungalow. Anyone coming from 81 South do not take the Harrisburg beltway for you will be approximately 50 miles out of your way. Terrible!!!! I can't eexpress this enough. dirdirections to Siunts. Very helpful with check

We came for race weekend at Bird in Hand and stayed the weekend. This place was close to the race start, places we like to visit, and in the country. It was a great place to relax and listen to the horse and buggy’s pass by the house. We will definitely return!

This was the cutest little cottage that was just right for our group of senior adults. It was so clean and neat and the hosts, Sharon and Ted were so hospitable. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

Nice bungalow in Amish Country
Sharon and Ted were fantastic hosts. The house is conveniently located - Intercourse, Lancaster, Lititz, Bird-in-Hand, and Dutch Wonderland are all 15 minutes away. There are several neighboring Amish families on the same road, so the kids enjoyed watching the buggies drive by. We also spent a pleasant evening at the Hayloft just down the road. Thanks for a fun weekend!

Great stay!
If you’re on the fence about booking this property- just book it. Excellent location right near all popular attractions but removed enough to be quiet and relaxing. The owners live in the home right next door and are so kind and welcoming. They personally meet you to provide keys and give a tour of the home. It is simply spotless and has everything that you would need- plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, and a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, baking supplies, and spices. BBQ grill was perfect for cooking dinner and enjoying time outside in summer evenings. Our 3yo had plenty of space to roam around and explore. Will definitely come back!

Wonderful Stay!
Ted and Sharon's super cute bungalow was the perfect place for my mom and me to stay on our Amish Country trip! This house was completely spotless! Ted and Sharon are the most welcoming and friendly hosts who go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. This house is conveniently located to all local attractions. It has ample parking and is easily accessible. It is located right in the middle of Amish country. We enjoyed watching the Amish neighbors riding by in their buggies and scooters. We are so glad we were able to meet Ted and Sharon and enjoy all of the hard work that they have put into decorating and maintaining their beautiful property!

Pleasant positive experience
Hosts are extremely friendly, and would enjoy spending time to get to know you. Facility was extremely clean and adequate. The bathroom is small and may be difficult for an elderly or individual with special needs. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a squeaky bedframe. All in all was a great location for us and positive experience.

Home away from home
We have just returned from a relaxing 3 night stay at Ted & Sharon's beautiful home. They are the most friendly hosts and the home is spotless from floor to ceiling and in a perfect location. You are far enough away from the busy tourist area but close enough to enjoy the drives trhiufh the countryside - take the backroads! We highly recommend staying at this home and you will not be disappointed! Our favorite restaurants with true hometown cooking and no frills are: Hometown Kitchen, Katie's Kitchen and New Holland Family Restaurant. Enjoy!

What a stay! My sister and her family who came thousands miles away from Indonesia enjoyed the beautiful, clean, and cozy house. Ted and Sharon were friendly hosts. Fabulous Weekend with Family
Thank you to our amazing hosts! They literally made us feel like we were family. Met us at check in, gave us a tour of the house, chatted a bit about the history of the area and INSISTED on helping us unload our car. Went above and beyond! We also had cookies left for us in the kitchen (needed after the drive!), water in the refrigerator and everything and anything we could need. They gave us some great local places to check out- highly recommend Sal's Pizza- it was delicious! It was so relaxing and we had a great time. The area was quiet, the home was beautiful and even better than the pics online. SO CLOSE to everything- Bird-in Hand, Kitchen Kettle, Outlets, everything. Highly recommend to everyone!!!
