"Chambre petite et bas de plafond. Le lit est court (ne pas mesurer plus d’1,70 m) . Pas de télé, ni climatiseur, pas de sèche cheveux ni prise dans salle de bain. "This is a lovely place to stay and the host was gracious and went out of his way to help in every way possible. I arrived on my bicycle and was able to put it into the secure garden area onto which the entrance of the property opened. There is a nice seating area in the open fronted barn, which is perfect for a quiet drink. The room was terrific. Spacious, immaculate and with everything I needed. "Anne D’Anjou was a joy of a hotel. The place looks over the Loire River and is really a few minutes walk into the old city and restaurants. But it was the charm of the hotel itself that wowed us. A backyard terrace, lovely breakfast rooms, a comfortable sitting room and wonderful staff. They couldn’t be more accommdating and willing to do whatever we needed to make our stay more pleasant. We loved the place!"

"The Hotel is located over the river from Chinon, so a good location for visiting the town and exploring the area. There are 3 parking places outside the hotel but there is a secured off-site car park for hotel guests a short distance away. We visited during the very hot weather in June 26 and our room was very warm at night as a consequence, an electric fan is provided which we had running all night. The breakfast is traditional French fare and very good quality. There is also a courtyard garden which is ideal for relaxing in or taking your breakfast. There is a wide choice of restaurants available in Chinon and we used Bistrot Fauve in the main square, which is associated with the hotel."

"Ideally suited for visiting the town. Hotel was next door to a small Carrefour which is where you can park for 9euros a night. Plenty of restaurants, cafes,bars, interesting shops and river front, were just 2 minutes walk away. We didnt stay long enough to use the spa. The only downside was the Aircon was limited to 21c minimum which wasn't cold enough for me to sleep well. Otherwise no complaints."
