Chalet Whymper Apartment

  • The apartment is located in the new development known as Chalet Whymper, located in the heart of Les Houches, about 150m from the Bellevue lift station. The apartment offers spacious, airy accommodation which has been completed and furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is well equipped and the balcony allows you to enjoy fabulous sunsets over the Aiguilles Vertes. The apartment is located on the first floor of the building with a large balcony and is accessed from either the garage or the front door by lift. There is a video entry phone, underfloor heating, TV and DVD player and it is tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings, deep sofas and a fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has secure private underground car parking and a ski locker.

Fantastic apartment in a great location

This is a lovely apartment in a great location. The view from the balcony is stunning. Nice large living room with very comfortable new sofas, wonderful big dining table and chairs. Well-equipped kitchen. Great to have underground parking. Highly recommended!

Great to settle in to for a good length of time.

Very relaxing. Very well equipped home away from home. Great access to lifts for easy walking up top and a peaceful small lake to enjoy nearby. Perhaps a little too much travel on crowded buses if you are going to chamonix almost daily for Cosmo events (only 4 star rating) as we were. Otherwise 5 star. Local manager was terrific for communication with a personal touch. Would recommend highly.

Fantastic location! The apartment is just a 5 minute walk to the Belle Vue cable car. The village centre with a choice of a few restaurants & bars is close by and it's a 10 minute walk to the supermarket. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday including a washing machine, which was very handy. If you like to cook there's good knives, pans and plenty of crockery and cutlery etc. Great views from the lounge balcony. Although on the main road through Les Houches, the apartment is very quiet at night and we had no problems sleeping. The apartment was lovely and warm with loads of hot water and was very clean. There were just two of us and the apartment was plenty big enough. The bunk beds looked very comfortable but as they are located in the spacious hallway, would probably be suited to a family with children or 2 couples who know each other really well. There is also a sofa bed in the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Everything you need is here including TV. DVD player, selection of films, games and fast wifi connection. We love Les Houches and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

L appartement est lumineux avec une magnifique vue sur l aiguille du midi. Il est très bien situé et très bien équipé. Les propriétaires acceptent les animaux. Le garage en sous sol est quand même étroit ( sans problème pour une petite voiture) Une location où l on a envie de revenir.

Appartement agréable et fonctionnel ,avec très belle vue sur l'égaille du midi . bien implanté dans le village , proches des remontées , difficulté de garder les fenêtres ouvertes ,surtout la nuit, car le bruit de la national reste important . Il y des progrès a faire sur le ménage , canapé très fragile , la hotte aspirante à des odeurs de graisse ;( filtres ) A part ces petits détails , cela reste tr"s positif , sans regret , à conseiller .

Facile d’accès et très confortable. L’appartement fourni un espace très spacieux et agréable avec une vue superbe. Très pratique, proche de la télécabine Bellevue et de l’arrêt de bus pour Chamonix. Nous reviendrions avec plaisir. Le Spa de Chamonix est exceptionnel et les restaurants de qualité. Le domaine skiable est magnifique, pour les skieurs comes pour les autres.

Have visited the Chamonix area several times and always stayed in Les Houches as very convenient location for exploring the valley. This apartment was excellent. Clean and well equipped. A very clean, comfortable and good appartment with all the necessary facilities and wonderful views.

We had a marvellous stay, the apartment was very comfortable and were very hsppy to spend most of our evenings there chilling out. The underground parking and lift connection to the apartment was very good. Great to have a washing machine as well as the dishwasher. The satellite television was useful. Some suggestions which we hope will be seen as constructive. The book with apartment information needs to be updated covering all points in English. A coffee table in front of the sofa's would be really a useful addition for the drinks to stand on, when you are sitting down. Thanks for a great trip. Apart from that a very good apartment.
