"This was an unusual place. Pleasant with a few inconveniences. It is located in Nebraska’s rolling Sandhills near Lake McConaughey. Beautiful! There are just a few rooms that open directly on to a large front patio with chairs, a fire pit, flower pots, and seasonal decorations. The property appears to be quite old, maybe a 1950’s motel. My room was adequately clean and comfortable with plenty of towels. Drawbacks included furniture, carpet, and bathroom that were a bit shabby. The resort restaurant was closed. And a call to the facility was required when I arrived because there was no check-in place/person available. All in all, I enjoyed my stay."

"This little old house comfortably fit my family of 5 and 3 dogs. We spent most of our time at the lake. We were only in the house for the early mornings, late evenings and throughout the night. The house was clean. The little air conditioner kept the house pretty cool when on high. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and seemed to be pretty new. The yard is not fenced but it is a very good size for dogs to go potty and run around a bit. My only complaint is that the shower curtain doesn't go low enough so a lot of water splashes out of the shower, and the shower head sprays in odd directions making it difficult to wash soap off. The lake was really low this time of year so the house was not as close to the water as we had envisioned (obviously, no fault of the owner). Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for a lake vacation. We would definitely rent this again."

"Clean place. Definitely thought about what some of the needs might be for guests. We played some of the provided family games and had a movie night with their choices of movies on the TV. It was cool enough inside but the fans definitely helped upstairs. The stairs were a little steep but we have a 2 year old that no matter what they were going to be nervous about the stairs. But such a great experience, one that I hope my kids remember."

"When I say this house was amazing that is an understatement. It was so comfortable with room for our whole clan. The set up was just perfect. The beds were super comfortable. The deck was amazing and we spent hours sitting outside together enjoying the lightning show. The dining room table was the perfect size for meals and board games. We really appreciated the 3 bathrooms and all with showers so no one was fighting over who goes first! This house was so great that everyone is begging me to reserve it for next years family trip....which I plan to do. Thank you Wendi for sharing your home with us, it really made our vacation great! We hope to come back next year."
