White Bluff Cabin overlooking Lake Malone

White Bluff Cabin sits in a quiet, friendly neighborhood overlooking Lake Malone. It is privately owned and offers all the accommodations to make your stay a relaxing one. It is fully furnished. FREE WIFI and parking. The spiral stairs and upstairs bedroom is unique with the rustic tin ceiling.Just a short hike down to the boat dock and you will see the white bluff to your left which the cabin sets on. Or simply rock away on the spacious wrap-around porch, sipping coffee or iced sweet tea!

Description in more detail:
White Bluff Cabin is rightly named after the white bluff of Lake Malone which the cabin sets on. If you're into a little adventure, just a short hike down from the cabin you can reach the water. The terrain is somewhat rocky and steep. There is a driveway just before the cabin, on the left, that you can drive your vehicle down. Don’t drive further than the end of the blacktop, from there on you can walk down to the dock. We are NOT RESPONSIBLE for accidents. The spacious wrap-around porch will protect you from the sun while allowing you to enjoy a cool breeze as you rock away in a rustic log rocker. There is a porch swing, unique wagon wheel bench, glider, and rocking chairs. If you're in the mood to soak up a little sunshine, relax on the upstairs balcony. Come evening, enjoy a fire in the fire pit with some burgers sizzling on the grill. Relax in the peaceful atmosphere which the overhead bulb lights create and leave your worries far behind. While the back yard is relaxing, I would not recommend leaving children unattended as there is a steep incline. A little tour of the inside now...The main living area is made comfy with a couch, loveseat, recliner, and rustic table for eating, playing games, etc. There is also a stereo to enjoy some of your favorite music. Just off of the main room is a bedroom with a bed, a closet, dresser, and chair. Breathe in the sent of the walnut wood as you float off to those sweet dreams! All the beds will be fully made. In the kitchen there is a stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer/ice maker, coffee maker, keurig, and all cooking utensils and dishes needed. Just next to the stairs is the stacked washer and dryer and for your convenience a rod and some hooks to hang your clothes. Also laundry detergent and dryer sheets are provided. Now the stairs... this is a wonder in itself! Although the spiral stairs is fairly narrow, it is such fun to go up as it feels you are about to discover a great unknown. At the top, you emerge through the split barn style door and cedar awakens your nostrils. Looking around, there are 2 rustic log beds each with a nightstand to match. Above your head is a rustic tin ceiling which interestingly is the original tin from the cabin roof. A stuffed chair sits in one corner and on the other side, a closet to stow your things. A door from this room also opens to the upstairs balcony, so if you don't want to do the spiral stairs or have something too large to maneuver up, you can use this outside entrance. Both outside doors have a lock on them. The bathroom is just off the kitchen, complete with a toilet, toilet paper, shower (no tub), sink, mirror, hair dryer, wash cloths and towels, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, and first aid kit. There is a beach area for swimming on the lake which is about a 8 minute drive. We have our own boat dock so bring your boat along. Swimming is also allowed off the dock, just beware of boats going by. Also we have kayaks for rent. $35 per kayak for the duration of your stay. It will include life vest which must be worn while kayaks in use. Let me know before you come if you would like to rent them and how many. Hunters are welcome to rent the cabin IF you have leased land/permission to hunt nearby. Absolutely no hunting on cabin premises or surrounding area. Please be respectful of concerned neighbors so they know you are not trespassing.

Family Gathering
Our experience exceeded my expectations. We chose the location for a family gathering for my mom and her two remaining siblings who are all in their eighties. The purpose of our stay was to relax and share childhood memories. The cabin was very cute and clean. In my opinion, it was nicer than the pictures. The view from the boat dock was definitely worth the hike - it was a great place to relax. There were no steps into the cabin which made it very accommodating for my relatives with challenges climbing steps. The five of us adults stayed very comfortable during our three days. I spent most of my time relaxing on the porch swing sipping sweet tea. The host was very helpful and accommodating as well. She was very responsive to our needs and our questions. I would definitely stay here again!
