The Governor’s House

A beautiful 5 bedroom historical house built in 1913 for Roy and Ellen Ayers. Mr Ayers was the Governor of Montana from 1937-1941. It is in the historical district called the “Courthouse District”.
3 large bedrooms are upstairs with one bath and 2 bedrooms are on the main floor with 2 baths. The main floor has a large living room, dining room, kitchen, game room and office.
We have security cameras on the exterior of the house. They are disarmed when guests are there, unless we see there is an issue (sneaking a pet in, too many people, destructive behavior, etc).

Pre Easter Family Trip

We all really enjoyed this beautiful historic home. Very clean and spacious in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the downtown shopping and fishing. Great hosts!

Heavenly Historic Home

We were in this area for a job at a local site. It was so nice to have a clean place to return to at the end of the day! This had enough rooms for everyone to have their own privacy and the hosts were most accommodating and friendly!

Amazing!!

We loved our stay! There was 9 of us and there was plenty of room. We enjoyed sitting on the porch visiting and playing catch in the front yard. Would highly recommend this house to everyone.

Stayed for a funeral

Were able to book this last minute due to 2 unexpected losses in our family. This house was big enough for the family to be together and not feel crammed. It was very clean and a good location with lots of parking. We were very happy with our stay.

Cousins trip

Our stay was fantastic. The kitchen was more than adequate to cook or bake. The coffee was great. All the towels were nice and fluffy. We used the washer and dryer. The blow driers were full sized so you can leave yours at home. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to using this property in the future.

Great history and perfect location!

The house was perfect for our visit to Lewistown for a family wedding! It accommodated our family and we enjoyed spending time on the front porch and appreciated the documentation providing the history of the house. The only downfall was not enough toiletries and garbage bags for our larger group. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable and Accessible

A very nice place for my office staff and I to use as home base for our work in town. Just 2 blocks from downtown. Home has everything you need . Great experience. Would highly recommend for business instead of a hotel when visiting on business.

Fantastic House! Great Location!

This is the third year in a row that my family has stayed here. The house has plenty of space for a larger group. It's clean, full of historic charm, and the location is awesome! The kids walk to and from the pool and Spring Creek. It's also an easy walk to Main Street to take in the shops and restaurants. We are thrilled to be repeat guests and are already looking forward to next summer.

Gorgeous, clean home with rich history and charm! This home is beautifully furnished, with ample room for families to relax and enjoy their stay. The amenities allowed for comfort and convenience, while away from home (i.e., including plush towels and luxurious bedding). The house has so much charm and space! Everyone had room to stretch out and relax. The house is in a great location, quiet neighborhood and close to everything.
