Convenient and Beautiful
My daughter and I stayed here while we attended an event at the Kentucky Horse Park. It is conveniently located and in a beautiful setting surrounded by horses and green paddocks. John and Debbie are very friendly and helpful. Was lovely to see all the fouls that were born in the weeks before we got there.

Fall Trip
My husband and I decided on Lexington for our fall getaway. He enjoys bourbon & I love horses, so this was the best for both worlds. We LOVED staying on this property and walking around visiting the horses each day. The location was convenient to all of the things we had planned ; Old Friends (highly recommend) Bourbon & Keeneland. The peaceful surroundings and countryside views beat a hotel any day of the week! We will definitely be back again.

Upon arrival we checked the cleanliness of the home including the bed. We found mouse feces in the bed. We immediately called the host who did not have another property available but insured us he would refund our money spent. We called the EVOLVE TEAM according to instructions only to receive an email stating because we did not follow proper procedures they could not refund our payment to them in the amount of $484.62. We had to get another hotel costing us another $400!

Family Visit to Lexington
We loved every single thing about our stay! We could not have asked for a more perfect home base as we explored the Lexington area. Spending mornings and evenings with the horses (especially the new foals!) was pure magic! John and Debbie were incredible hosts and it was wonderful meeting John as we enjoyed our time with the horses.

Comfortable cozy cottage with views of horses and rolling green pastures out every window! Centrally located for day trips and a relaxing place to come home to at night. John and Debbie are welcoming, friendly hosts who add to the charm of staying here. Nice to roam the farm and entertaining to watch the foals romping in the pastures. Serene and relaxing

Country Retreat
What a great little cottage on a beautiful horse farm! We arrived from Florida to some very cold KY weather and fired up the wood burning stove which kept the whole house warm! We used Lexington as a home base as we visited 2-3 distilleries a day! We took day trips to Louisville, Frankfort, and Bardstown with a few in between. While at the property we took walks and visited with the many horses that call it home. The owners are on site and very responsive and we loved talking with John who shared lots of information about the farm. Highly recommend this country retreat.

Terrible Experience
This property was advertised as a charming cottage on an idyllic horse farm. It is in fact a trailer that is in dire need of a make over. The single window air conditioner did not reach the bedroom making sleeping uncomfortable and the shower was not usable. We had booked the entire week and stayed less that’s 24 hours. After promising a full refund for the unused portion of out stay, the property manager later said they would refund only a small portion.

Hi Cindy, the homeowners work hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, and they'd like to clarify the following: - The cottage is a basementless one-bedroom house built with excellent craftsmanship. - We wish you would have come to us with any issue instead of leaving first thing in the morning. We could've taken care of all your concerns on the same day. - We did not know that the air conditioner was not adequate since no one has ever complained about it in two years. We put in a new air conditioner right away that afternoon. - As far as the shower goes, it has multiple settings, and it was between two settings. It worked fine with a little turn of the shower head. - You were issued a full refund for the nightly rate, which did not include taxes, booking fees, and cleaning fees. We believe this was a fair resolution, and we're sorry our little cottage wasn't the right fit for you. The owners truly go above and beyond for their guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

Beautiful Property
This property is so dreamy!!! My daughter and I took a mother-daughter trip to horse country, and boy were we living the dream while we were there. The cottage is located right by the foul barn and paddicks. At night we would go and talk to the horses and pet them. The fireflies would come out and it looked like the whole property was glowing.

Great place on a budget
Super friendly owners. Beautiful scenery and we got to see a lot of horses. If you want a quiet place this is great. If you want a place on a budget this place is great. It is an older place, but it is clean and the ned was comfortable. Could it be better, sure but you can say that about any place. The cemetery out the bedroom was a little odd but no real complaints overall.

In the Middle of Horse Country!
If you’re looking to see horses and do horsey things, you can’t get any better than this property! The house is right in the middle of a farm with several world-class thoroughbred mares and their foals just out your back door! The location and the owners are what make this property so special. Mr. John has decades of experience with horses and was generous with his time in talking with us and showing us around. He is such a kind man! We got to see a foal being born one night and it was the absolute highlight of our week in Kentucky. We could walk outside and pet the horses and see the foals whenever we wanted. The area is absolutely beautiful, green paddocks and lovely trees. The location is perfect for exploring Kentucky Horse Park and Keeneland and Spy Coast Farm and many other horse-related attractions. While you’re in the middle of the country, you’re also not far from necessities like grocery stores and restaurants. The house was very cozy and comfortable. Ms. Deborah was available for questions and made us feel right at home. We definitely plan on returning here in the future. It is a true gem!

Breathtaking Horse Property
Nothing better than this for horse lovers. The cottage sits next to the foaling barn and is surrounded by black fenced corrals full of new mommas and their babies. The hosts are thoughtful and friendly. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a quiet get away
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Lexington this is the place. This quiet house I perfectly located in the middle of a horse farm. In the morning you can sit in the living room and watch the horses and the walk out a pet the horses. You can spend time driving past the horse farms. Visiting downtown Lexington. You can be to many other places in Kentucky like Louisville, Ark Encounter, historic Georgetown. The host are fantastic and you cannot go wrong staying here.

Magical horse farm
Staying on this lush farm among the horses is magical. It's so quiet and peaceful yet you are only three miles from town. The house is elegant and comfortable, and the kitchen well-appointed. The hosts Debra and John are kind, generous and accommodating. Highlights: petting the horses, attending the Yearling Auction at Fasig Tipton, taking a riding lesson at Haven Hill Farm in Versailles, the Backstretch Tour and watching the races at Keeneland, touring Spy Coast Farm, exploring the Kentucky Horse Park and visiting the Raven Run Nature Sanctuary. Delicious food: Bonefish Grill, Oasis, Sakura 13, First Watch, Crank and Boom ice cream.

Beautiful Farmhouse on a Breathtaking Horse Farm!
I have to say that this place has been one of our very favorite places to stay as a family! The home was so cozy, clean and had everything we needed. The farm was breathtaking! We loved the horses! We would make time to go see and pet the horses daily, if not more than that! It was above and beyond what we expected! It was a delight getting to meet John and Debbie! They were so kind. They even brought us a picnic table when we had a cookout on the grill that was provided. If you are looking to stay in a place that has the quiet “country” feel - this is it! If you want to make sure you have stores near by - this is it! Shopping plaza is only a few minutes away from the farm. Many things to enjoy with the kids nearby: Scenic drives - beautiful farms all around, Horse Park, Keenland, Wispering Woods for horseback riding. We also did things a bit further out: Creation Museum, Noah’s Ark, Walking Bridge from Louisville to Indiana. Thank you John and Debbie for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful farm! This was a perfect spot for our family vacation and we totally recommend it! We plan on coming back for sure!

Heaven on Earth!!
By far the best vacation my family has ever been on....It was absolutely breathtaking! John and Debbie were so kind and helpful, the perfect hosts....Our little house was so far into the farm, you felt like you had it all to yourself...Lexington had so many places that were drivable to see too!...It was in the perfect area! The scenery was gorgeous with all the horse farms and rolling hills! I want to come back tomorrow but will have to settle for maybe the fall or winter...😊 Would highly recommend this house!

Horses and beautiful property
Our family spent some time here in July. It was such a great experience. The house was lovely, the property manager sweet and had great info to provide. But the biggest deal to us was meeting the horses on site. Following the rules of course, we were able to pet the horses and get such great up close looks at them. Every day my kids were (quite literally) busting out of the car to go play (walking exaggeratedly slowly) with “Twin Foal”, “Palace Showgirl” and “Cool Johanna”. Such a great time. Will definitely be back!

The charming cottage was a perfect get-away with beautiful views of the horse property. We completely enjoyed the serenity and peacefulness of being in the country but still close to town, and it was clean and supplied everything we needed.

We so enjoyed the mares and foals and being up close with them. Right across the lane. Close to everything else and even though it rained a lot it was still a beautiful experience. The cottage was decorated perfectly and with everything we needed. Very nice people.
