About this property

Le Marquis

  • The Logis de Lichères is located in one of the most picturesque villages of the Romanesque Charente, halfway between the church (jewel of Romanesque art) and "the boat" which crosses the Charente a little further down.
    Lichères is a hamlet of about ten houses, all scattered and set in the middle of the meadows but isolated from the rest of the world by the Charente which, there, forms a loop.

    In the house, at the end of a large square courtyard, "Le Marquis" welcomes you with its large paved entrance, a large kitchen opens onto a wooden living room adjoining a large bedroom overlooking the courtyard, and two bedrooms at the back, are lit by the sun at sunset.

    100 metres from the house, the Charente is divided into many streams, narrow or wide, which will lead you by canoe or on foot along its banks to discover the neighbouring villages.
