Perfect combination of service, design, location

My girlfriend and I had an incredible time staying at this new hotel in Shuhe Old Town. Ricky, the manager, is a great person and keen on making everyone's trip to Lijiang memorable. He is particularly well acquainted with Yunnan and its cultures, food, and attractions, making for an excellent source of inspiration and information. The room was clean, bright and well designed. We booked a simple room, but still had a balcony, bathtub, super comfortable bed, and an in-room router along with the standard amenities. The hotel includes a standalone tea house that's perfect for experiencing Yunnanese tea, local spirits or even Chilean wines. It was an excellent spot for late-night conversations. The on-site restaurant brings together the foods from the ancient tea-horse trail in a beautiful, intimate setting overlooking the central courtyard and mountains. The hotel is located in an excellent, quiet section 10 minutes from the old town and the trail head for the ancient Tea-Horse trail.

The place and the people are amazing. It was a special occasion because it was the Spring Festival at the same time of the coronavirus outbreak, and they were very stressed as they received the order to shut down the hotel.

The hotel staffs are so nice and helpful. They gave great recommedation for tourist spots. The room we stayed is clean and warm. It takes only 10 minutes by walk to Shuhe Old town. I would like to stay this hotel if I visit Lijiang again.

Beautiful, serene, lovely service

Although the hotel is not in the main part of Shuhe, it is a beautiful oasis. The staff and service were delightful. Loved it.

the best place for holiday!

a fantastic stay in a very pleasure location in Shuhe Old Town. warm staff and helpful who arranged horse ride, Thanka painting and private tour to the Wenfeng monastery. It is a small boutique hotel but very nice design and warm Tibetan and Naxi staff. The room is clean and big enough.the breakfast provided each day was testy. we had dinner at the second floor restaurant which was relaxing and enjoyable. the hotel located short walk from the Shehe old town, 10 minutes walk to the old town square from hotel. great atmosphere boutique hotel, staff always willing to help, and we like there beautiful terrace and water body, and amazing Thangka hall, culture center, book bar, walnut tree garden specially the tea house with Yunnan Pu'er Tea. Tsomo a Tibetan GM always helpful to explain Tibetan culture and architect. really lucky to have chosen this hotel which is very unique architect and real boutique style and International standard services and facilities, special attention to details. Heating system comfortable. All around here are loveable, perfect live here for a week to paint Thangka and read book.

Wonderful stay

We stayed five nights in Arro Khampa and cannot begin to express our happiness with the manager, Tsomo, and her assistant manager, Caoling together with all the staff who made the hotel a very special experience. Our room was comfortable and we found the balcony overlooking the inner courtyard with fishpond very tranquil after a long day’s activity. Tsomo was always on hand to help with queries and suggestions on tours or restaurants. In general the ambience of the hotel was exceptional and the location was perfect to get away from the crowds of the tourist areas. We certainly plan to go back to Liljiang and Arro Khampa in the future.

Amazing hotel that's great all around

The hotel was amazing. Very comfortable room, which was spacious and very well equipped. The restaurant serves fantastic breakfast and we also had 1 dinner there. The staff was fantastic, very helpful and goes all out to assist if you have any problems. The old town of Shuhe is the much preferred option if you are wary of crowds and the hotel is only a short walk from the entrance of the old town.

清幽度假精品小酒店

位置比較偏遠，但也是因為這樣換來更寧靜、清幽環境。離古鎮步行約10-15分鐘左右。員工友善，酒店漂亮，不過房間隔局小了點，陳設也比較普通簡單，如果浴室空間能與床能稍微隔起來感覺會比較好。如果下次有機會再去麗江，這家酒店絕對是我的首選。

Deceptive pictures on Expedia inaccurate reviews

Beautiful pictures on Expedia great reviews-All are false and deceptive. Small hotel 15 rooms can’t drive to hotel because it is reached via an alley way uphill. Then ten high steps to entrance. No elevators. 20 steep steps to room on second floor and no handrail. Shower filthy ! Room dirty cold. Window looked out on underware drying across the balcony. More food on my kitchen table then they offered for breakfast. Juice consisted of one glass of organic juice in a pitcher. They were unwrapping twinkies when we arrived to place on the pastry dish. The so called great manager “Ricky” had quit and a very young man was now in charge. This hotel doesn’t deserve three stars. On the basis if what was on Expedia we booked several nights but our experience was so bad we checked the next morning. Do not go to this so called hotel !!

Fabulous!

Arrived fairly late and was warmly greeted by Enrique, the manager. Showed to my room and then invited down to the 'tea lounge' for tea. Hotel is very well managed, beautiful boutique hotel, very comfortable and clean room, good options for breakfast, friendly and accommodating staff, a 10 minute walk to the old town. I could not have asked for anything more perfect. I will certainly return.

Arro Khampa was awesome. I came with my gf, we immediately made friends with the general manager, Ricky, and had a blast. The building and its interior design were gorgeous, the food was great, and the service was top notch. Ricky went out of his way every day to make us feel at home and the staff were warm and friendly.

Don't miss Arro Khampa!!

We LOVED our stay at Arro Khampa. Our room was beautiful and extremely comfortable, and the hotel property was absolutely lovely. We also want to thank the general manager, Ricky, for everything he did to make our stay amazing. Whatever we needed -- hiring a driver to help us explore the nearby villages, exchanging money, buying wonderful wine, recommending fantastic restaurants, accompanying us to pick up train tickets, and the list goes on -- he was there for us!! We can't wait for our travels to take us back to Lijiang so we can visit Arro Khampa again!!!

Fantastic Hotel

My husband and I stayed in this beautifull hotel for 2days and we absolutely love this hotel...it was the best in all the hotells that we stayed in china because we felt like home...plus the hotel is beautifuly decorated. The manager whose name is Ricardo was very nice and helpful. He went on and beyond to make our stay confortable...we were on a special diet and he help us with our food needs...for us it has been one of the best experiences in a hotel (we usually travel alot). The hotel is also located in one of the old towns in lijiang so you can walk around the town and enjoyed the old city...we recomend this hotel to everyone!!!
