Such a gem of a hotel! Me and my partner were in Lille for the first time ever for a pop concert (Mylène Farmer😍) and this hotel ticked all of our boxes, location, friendly staff, comfy bed, hairdryer, not a luxury stay but perfect for a roof over our heads. Also my partner forgot to bring his iPhone charger and a lovely receptionist lent him one to use, life saver! We'd definitely stay at this cosy little hotel again if we're ever in Lille again (lovely city too btw).

Handy for the city centre and Railway stations.
Rooms are small but adequate for a few days. Staff very welcoming and efficient. Ideal location for the city centre and both Railway stations. Lift doesn't stop at each floor so you might have to go up or down a few stairs.

short break with friends in Lille.
didn't spend much time in the room but it was fine for our needs. very clean, shower good, tea making facilities, with paper cups so had to ask for extra which was obliged and no milk in the room for tea/coffee. Room possibly needs a little tlc/renovation but nothing major. Otherwise all good and perfectly places for station and old town. We walked everywhere. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a good location close to food and attractions & the staff is very nice. Unfortunately the hotel listing has a lot of false advertising. We did not have a safe in the room, our bathrooms (shower especially) was extremely small, the rooms are not sound proof you can hear everything in the rooms around you, the cleaners and super loud very early in the morning. We also found it weird that they required you to leave your key in a bucket at the front desk every time you leave the hotel. We also had a ton of issues with the WiFi, even when connected we couldn’t get anything to load.

Old and slightly tired looking room, but great location for the stations and squares. Really helpful staff, allowing us to leave bags and check in early. Really supportive at the introduction of the city wide lock down. Availability of a triple room at the price was great, and perfectly acceptable for a one night stay

This hotel is very conveniently situated in the centre of Lille very close to Gare Flandres and about 10 mins walk from Gare Europe. It's also only a few minutes walk from Grand Place and the Old Town. Our room was on the top floor and was basic (as you'd expect from a 2-star hotel) but had everything we needed. It was very clean and well-serviced and the bed was comfortable. Double glazing kept out traffic noise but the room could be stuffy in hot weather; there's no air conditioning. The walls are quite thin so you can hear people in adjacent rooms if they're a bit noisy but it wasn't a problem for us. The reception staff (who spoke English) were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Only other slight negative is that the lift is very small and can barely fit in two people with luggage. We preferred to use the stairs! Overall, I'd recommend the Grand Hotel to anyone wanting good value, reasonably-priced accommodation in the centre of Lille.

A small hotel, conveniently located. 24hr friendly reception. The lack of aircon is a problem when most of the rooms face onto a road. It’s a little tired but the bed was very comfortable. The shower is small but good water pressure. It wasn’t expensive so was fine for a day or two

The hotel is in an old building but the rooms are modern and clean, albeit a bit small. The staff were all friendly and the location is very close to both city centre and Lille Flandres and Europe stations. Wholly sufficient for a solo traveller.

Very cosy, very clean and for a small hotel even had a BBC world service channel. The staff could not be more helpful. Down side as an older person would have liked a small fridge and sink. Also a hand rail for the bathroom to help exiting the bath, and more room for my toilet stuff.

Amazing cute place in the city centre. 8 minute walk from Lille Europe, much less from the Flanders station. Main square 5 minute walk. We got a room on the 4th floor with rooftop views, cannot complain. The room was a quite small but that didn't bother us. Not great for tourists who need accessible rooms as even for the 4th floor, we had to climb a flight of narrow stairs after the elevator. Everything was clean, good water pressure in bathroom for shower, heating and hot water worked fine. Reception is 24 hours available for key drop/collect. Wifi wasn't amazing but didn't need either way. Overall, for that location, I felt it was good value for money.

Clean and Convenient Hotel besides Lille Train Sta
Distance to hotel from Lille Flandres Station is only less than 1 minute. I can even buy famous brand of chocolate besides the hotel lobby. Environment is nice and clean. Hotel offered a family room with 3 single beds for my 3-people family. No one is needed to sleep on a sofa bed. Breakfast is included for my booking and the no. of choice is adequate.

Hotel had no A/C in the rooms. We had to ask for a fan which was not nezrly enough to cool us off. The bathroom was so small that we couldn’t open/close the door while sitting on the toilet. The staff was nosy and the free wifi was in actuality inexistant.

Hotel room was excellent value for money, however the breakfast was not really good value for money, if I stayed again I would go out for breakfast. Location was good, though all the roadworks being carried out made it tricky to find. Staff very friendly. Didn’t get the WiFi to work, not sure what the password, was, maybe more information could be provided at check in .

Reasonable hotel in a good situation
The hotel is easy to reach from Eurostar. The room and bathroom were fine. In the morning I realised the walls were a bit thin, but there was no one noisy next to me so I got a good nights sleep. My only complaints are minor, the lift is small and took so long to come I walked down the stairs form the 4th floor , but I had a light bag so that was no problem. There was a kettle in the room with coffee and tea but no milk cartons .Reception was pleasant - a value for money hotel for me.

Room was warm in the Spring heatwave and the windows were difficult to keep open for a bit of fresh air. Wi-Fi signal was intermittent in the room but good in the lobby.

Perfectly situated
Visited Lille for the first time not knowing what to expect - was pleasantly surprised. Lille is an interesting city with a grand old square. The hotel was about 10-15 minute walk from the Eurostar terminal, 5 minute walk from the Lille, Flanders SNCF station and 4 minute walk from the old square / Christmas Market. Hotel doesn't live up to the name (Grand) although it is comfortable and good value for money but is ideal as a base for a city break and the staff are helpful & accommodating. Breakfast is limited in choice but there is plenty of it. All in all a pleasant stay.

Perfect hotel for a short stay in Lille.
The location of this hotel, less than 10 minutes walk from the station and the old town, make it ideal for a city break. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful, recommending places to eat and offering to let us sit in comfort in the lobby after checking out. The room was a reasonable size, clean with a modern very efficient shower and comfortable bed. A very reasonable rate for a clean, comfortable en-suite room. It would have been nice to have an English speaking channel e.g. CNN available on the TV but hardly essential. Free WiFi was more than adequate.

Came for a short break with sightseeing and dining and socialising (drinking ) Hotel was perfectly placed for us to enjoy the best of everything. We were spoilt for choice with unlimited restaurants , packed with ambience , as well as numerous cafes and bars - all on our doorstep. The place was great, except the bath/shower had no plug and the shower head no holder, so you had to shower holing the shower head. 15-20 min walk from the Eurostar station towards town. 20 min from the Lourve. Close to resturants. Room was newly renovated and spacious. Missing a jug so you could make hot drinks for yourself.
