Stunning hotel, a very short walk to the old town. Our room was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Only one criticism - the lighting in the bathroom was seriously inadequate. We will definitely return!

Reasonable hotel within walking distance of the centre of Lille. The cooked element of the buffet breakfast was cold (beans, scrambled eggs etc) which was disappointing.

When I checked out I was asked if I enjoyed my stay and I can say that I answered with honesty when I said YES. All in all I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Feedback for the hotel as follows: Staff were exceptional. Very polite and helpful. Facilities are getting tired. If this Hotel wants to retain its 5* rating and measure up to other 5* hotels then they need to invest. 1st room we had had faulty AC. Staff, being excellent as ever, immediately moved us to another room. Here we had working AC but the curtains did not fully shut properly or meet in the middle so we had daylight streaming in first thing in the am. Small issue but also very easy to fix. The decor is starting to look very dated with threadbare carpets in the halls etc. The building itself is fantastic and with some investment in decor this could be a truly amazing destination hotel. Aside of the wearing furnishings, some small details like addressing the lack of cushions on the outdoor plastic rattan seats in the courtyard should be very simple to fix. Last recommendation - the weekend piano player in the lounge just seems very dated. No offence to him, he was good but it was like being transported to business hotel in the 90s :-) Anyway, this is also just personal feedback and I go back to my initial point. We very much enjoyed the stay. The hotel is in great location, the staff are great and Lille itself is an absolute hidden gem. We will be back!

Pas à la hauteur d’un 5 étoiles (pour en avoir testé d’autres de la même collection) La chambre a besoin d’un vrai rafraîchissement, d’un bon ménage. La couette était trouée, il y avait de la poussière, de l’eau remplie à la fontaine avait été mise dans notre frigo et elle datait de 4 jours auparavant (un hôtel de ce standing pourrait au moins mettre de l’eau du jour je pense). Piscine petite, comme le hammam. Peu de transats à disposition au vue du nombre de clients. Le sauna est un peu caché, il nous a fallut poser la question de l’existence d’un sauna pour découvrir qu’il y en avait un, qui était réservable et qui se trouve dans les étages au niveau des chambres. Bizarre. Petit dej pas incroyable non plus. Seul le personnel est sympathique notamment Emmanuel du petit dej

It was lovely from outside but quite old and needed attention inside. Reception staff great but bad staff very slow and inattentive. Pool was very dingy and dark and very noisy filtration or water system. Steam room smelt musty.

Hôtel vieillissant. Chambre décevantes malgré une bonne literie. Vieille moquette partout mobilier de mauvaise qualité et incohérent avec le lieu. Salle de bain ne sont pas d’un niveau d’un 5 étoiles. Service ok. Petit dej correct. Salle à manger très vieillotte devrait être complètement refaite. La plus belle pièce est le bar. Le spa est très bien.

Magnifique hôtel, mais professionnalisme à revoir

Lieu fantastique, belle piscine et petit déjeuner à la hauteur. La chambre en revanche peut quelque peu décevoir. Surtout, le service est à revoir pour un établissement de cette catégorie. Malgré nos appels à la réception, pour un souci avec le rideau occultant, et plusieurs promesses de nous envoyer quelqu'un, personne n'est jamais venu et nous avons dû dormir en sachant que nous serions réveillés dès le lever du soleil. Pire encore, une alerte incendie s'est déclenchée à 1h du matin (à cause d'un résident qui s'est mis à fumer dans sa chambre, l'hôtel n'y est pour rien). Nous nous retrouvons à une quinzaine à errer dans les couloirs. Que faire ? Sortir ? Aucun membre du personnel n'est venu parler aux résidents, ni leur dire quoi faire. Si l'alarme avait révélé un véritable danger, je n'ose imaginer le résultat... Dommage que cet hôtel respire à ce point l'impréparation, il est par ailleurs parfaitement charmant.
