The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't stopped our zeal for exploring. Here are some tips on how to cope with the new challenges of travelling:

• Investigate what rules and restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so check before you lock in your flight.
• Keep your face mask on even during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to lower your mask temporarily for identification purposes.

• TSA now allows passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will have to be removed from your bag for X-ray screening.
• Place any personal items (like your phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during the screening process.
• If you're planning to take food on the plane with you, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.
