Very affordable and clean place to rest. Only the restrooms/toilets are outside the rooms. Was not a big issue for us but you should know if this is a deal breaker for you.

The staff here was really great. Lucas was very welcoming and informative. The building is rustic, but for the great staff and the price, it's hard to beat.

Fantastic Location... Literally across the street from the Metro...I had an early flight to catch up so was a great relief to be there in less then 2 min. The entire place inmaculate!! 5 stars to Hector & the faboulous ladies they are a Super team!! Left you a little something... Were totally available as I arrived exhausted as we do! Breakfast tons of great breads... My things and fresh fruit... Again the place spotsless!! Bravo to you Hector...❤‼

I enjoyed every minute of my stay here. The staff are incredible, the beds are comfortable, the hotel is so clean, and right across the street from the metro. What more could you ask for?!

Perfect except for the noise!
I loved my stay here, everything was spotless, the staff were all super friendly, great (and plentiful) breakfast, cosy room, etc. And it is literally across the street from the Metro. So convenient to get to/from the airport. However, there is no soundproofing at all in the rooms. The room above me had ppl walking around at 1 AM on hardwood floors both nights, several neighbours going to the toilet in the small hours and fiddling with the key in their doors. Outside, you could hear every car, every cough of a passerby, a cleaning crew with leafblowers at 11:30PM (seemingly with personal vendettas against leaves as it went on for ages), garbage trucks, noisy demonstrations, partiers, barking dogs, etc. In short - I didn't sleep much. Some better windows would make a huge difference! But I would still stay here again because I was really made to feel welcome. A home away from home :)

The place is a wonderful example of old architecture and I loved it. Shared bathrooms is not the best, but not a deal breaker. Parking is horrible, so good luck with that. It is close to the airport, and another plus. The best thing is the staff. They are the BEST!

Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. It’s not super luxurious. It’s a guest house with shared bathrooms/WCs, kitchenette, and lounges. The breakfast was modest but lovely. Very reasonable price. We would definitely plan to stay again when we return to Lisbon.

I loved my stay at Chalet d’Avila. The staff was kind, communicative, helpful, and available 24/7. The property itself is beautiful, classic, with many opportunities overlook the city on one of its balconies. Breakfast in the morning was available from 7am-11am with a wide variety of options. Shared bathrooms were clean and always open when I needed them. It was quiet enough in the hotel that I was able to get a good nights sleep each night. The area surrounding the hotel is close to the metro and airport, safe, well lit, and with options for dining, shopping, and walking around. Definitely be sure to book this option for your stay!!

First time staying at a Guest House and can kick myself for not doing it sooner. Great place to stay for a few nights, with kitchen privileges, clothes washer, sitting rooms on each floor and 3 common bathrooms on our floor of 8 rooms.

There's not much to say, clean and spacious room with lots of lights. Breakfast is really basic but okay. Just next to a metro stop to travel easily around.

Super cute and very friendly staff. There is a shared bathroom situation but it was always clean and I never waited for anyone which was nice. Slept like a baby and the staff was very helpful for anything I had asked or wanted to do!

The room was beautiful and would love to come back to this charming building. It has common areas and shared bathrooms that are super clean. The breakfast is delicious. The location is close to the airport and the staff very helpful.

A beautiful introduction to Lisbon
It was my first nights in Portugal, and this hotel gave a feel of the traditional beauty of the city. The staff was very helpful carrying my suitcase. I wasn’t prepared for the beautiful staircase. It was worth it for the charm of the building. I like that the location seemed to have a mix of residential, business, and tourist interests. I would stay again, with lighter luggage.

old world charm- a bit pricy and somewhat isolated
Great location for the airport-20 minute direct subway ride. It is in the northern area of Lisbon- so not much of great interest around the area. The breakfast was great and staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the old world touches- but found it pricy, considering it was a shared bathroom and had no AC.

This stay was lovely. Clean large private rooms. Bathrooms are shared but also must be regularly checked/clean and nice. Staff were extremely friendly. Very nice little table areas and common areas provided if you wanted to make your own meals or hangout and have a drink. No air conditioning but it was ok with the window opened and fan (provided) going.

We got a private suite with a shared bathroom. The room and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and regularly maintained on a schedule. Breakfast included was very appreciated and started early. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Location was great as it is a direct connection to bus stations and the airport and a 1 transfer connection to other areas of Lisbon. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and we will stay here again no questions asked.

I loved my stay in this guest house and only wished I could spend longer there. The property is clean and beautiful and the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. I stayed in a single room on a corridor with two beautiful bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and a living room and dining room. I could have lived there for a month. As I only had one afternoon and evening there I was delighted that there was a craft/food market directly opposite the hotel. I was able to buy artisan gifts without having to take a taxi anywhere. There are also plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in easy walking distance, as well as a supermarket a few doors away. I will definitely come back and spend a few nights here on my next visit to Portugal in the autumn.

I only stayed for part of one night as I had a very early flight. I loved the building and location and the staff. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Unfortunately all the comings and going’s and paper thin walls kept me from sleeping before my 2 AM wake up to get to the airport.

Amazing place to stay clean and spotless. Even though the bathrooms were shared it was no problem. Great restaurants around and a market across the street. The morning breakfast is a nice variety of fresh fruit and yogurt and pastries.
