Nestled in the quaint village of Peral, just a stone's throw away from the historic town of Cadaval in Central Portugal and only 35 minutes to the Silver Coast, this charming 2-bedroom cottage offers a serene escape amidst the region's stunning landscapes. Surrounded by lush vineyards and rolling hills, the cottage embodies the essence of Portuguese countryside life.
This little Cottage was purchased by the current owner in 2020 with the intention to create a peaceful retreat away from the fast pace of life. The building itself dates back to 1785 when its first use was an 'adega' for wine production and storage. Over the years it has been renovated along the way by different owners and since being Cashina Peral Country Cottage there have been upgrades made along the way.
As you approach, the cottage's traditional whitewashed façade and terracotta roof exude rustic charm, blending seamlessly with the tranquil surroundings. A cozy front porch welcomes you, providing the perfect spot to soak up the warm Iberian sun and the beautiful evening sunsets with a glass of wine whilst looking
over the vineyards and orchards in the distance.
Step inside, and you'll find a cozy living space adorned with modern furniture, creating an inviting atmosphere for relaxation and recharging. The kitchen is equipped with modern amenities, allowing you to prepare delicious meals.
The two bedrooms are tastefully furnished with comfortable beds and soft linens, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the nearby attractions. The WC offers a bath complete with a shower, bidet and a heated towel rack.
With nature on our doorstep, many country roads and agricultural trails, it is a perfect backdrop anytime of the year for exploring, horseback riding, taking walks, hikes and cycling, many of which lead you to other little villages. There are many vineyards, orchards and fields in which to take in the natural beauty of the region.
The Serra de Montejunto is a mountain range in Portugal that is part of the Montejunto-Estrela System and located in the municipalities of Alenquer and Cadaval. It is the highest natural viewpoint in Extremadura, rising to an altitude of 666 m, with 534 meters of topographic prominence and 53.41 km of isolation. This geological structure, 15 km long and 7 km wide, is rich in sinkholes, caves, residual lagoons, necropolises and prehistoric fossils.
Conveniently located within easy reach of Cadaval, where you will find grocery stores, shopping, banks, pharmacies and great restaurants.
