This is a fantastic boutique hotel. It is located in a ~300 year old property. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with AC. The showers are clean with good water pressure and the height of the showerhead worked well for me (I'm 6'4"). The facility still uses metal keys which gives you access to your room and the front entrance. There is also a numerical code you can type into a keypad to get front door access. It felt very secure. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. There is no room service. This is not really a problem as they provide a very nice breakfast and there are many restaurants within walking distance.This includes two restaurants right under the first floor (you do hear their music until 12:00-01:00 but it wasn't particularly obnoxious) The staff did tell our kids (17 and 20 years old) they could not bring takeout in their rooms but let them take it anyway. I did not clarify this policy and it did not seem to be an issue. Location could not have been better and for us the major selling point. Within a 20-30 minute walk you have access to anything you could want. There is even a natural health food grocer around the corner. My wife and I walked all over Lisbon from this location. Uber will come right to the door. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful hotel and location
Three night stay. Huge room with nice dressing area separate from bath and bedroom. Deluxe Suite #7. Quiet. Staff very helpful. Breakfast nice and included fresh scrambled eggs and bacon. All rooms are on first floor - one flight of stairs. Excellent location and neighborhood. Definitely would stay again.

It is a delightful small property in a charming old building centrally located on a quiet plaza. Large rooms with double glazed windows. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Highly recommend Bordalo House!

This was my wife and my first trip to Lisbon so we had no idea where to book our stay. We wanted to be close to historical sights, night life, and shopping. We were staying for 10 nights so we wanted a large room. If you have traveled Europe you know space is at a premium and most rooms are tiny. When we arrived at the Dear Lisbon we found all our desires were met. Our room was gorgeous. 14 ft ceilings with three 10 foot windows that opened out to a view of the harbor and the Castelo de S. Jorge. The furnishings, although sparce were elegant, tasteful, and comfortable. We could have used another surface to dump our daily purchases, but there was PLENTY of room. The building is old so the bathroom was not a part of its original structure. It was placed in what may have once been a sitting room. It had the same 14ft ceiling with a crystal chandelier. Large shower head. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. My last Parisienne hotel I couldnt get the soap off of me because the stream was so weak. Like BPH. You middle age guys will understand. From the room we could hear the local night life. It was exciting and it encouraged us to go out. But when we were tired, we closed the shutters and we had silence. The Baixa-Chiado neighborhood had great shopping, late night indoor and out door dining, several theatres, and nightly street performers. We had a blast without having to navigate the city after dark. The staff at Dear Lisbon was very helpful and nice. Especially Adrienne.

Nice place in Chiado
Very nice place to stay in the heart of Chiado. Quiet place although is right behind a plaza of restaurants. It is a boutique guest house/hotel 3 stars. Close to transportation,restaurants, bars , cafe, historical sites, etc.

Great stay in Lisbon!
The hotel / B&B is great. The rooms are HUGE (when compared to most European hotels) and clean. The bed was comfy. The included breakfast was pretty good. One piece of information I wish I had known before booking: Doors to the hotel are locked until 8am so if you happen to arrive early, you will be stuck outside until then. (I had to sit on the bench outside for over an hour as my international flight landed around 6am.) The info about check-in is shared in the email after you confirm and to be fair, one could arrange check-in outside the regular hour. I booked the room the day before arrival. I had no idea until I arrived and checked the email when I found the locked doors. I was permitted to leave my luggage as my room wasn't ready that early.

Central Location
Great location - close proximity to restaurants, metro and tram links. Staff were amazing - friendly and accommodating. Rooms were good sized and clean. The only thing which came as a surprise was the noise from the restaurant below our room - don’t think other rooms may have this problem. Music stopped at around 11:30 .

Fantastic hotel. The lady on the desk gave us such great information and printed off information for us. Couldnt have bern more helpful. Excellent air conditioning in the room. First time in a hotel room when there was no need to keep adjusting it during night so slept well. Water pipes made a noise when water run but this didnt bother us at all. Excellent position in the old city. Within easy walking to metro, restaurants etc.

Very nice place. Not handicap accessible. Room was very clean. A/C worked well. Very near Rossi train station which has a train to Sintra. Breakfast was excellent with eggs made to order. Close to a six story shopping mall. I would stay here again. Airport transportation can be arranged for a modest charge.

I loved staying here. It's a perfect size, beautiful and amazing service. We unfortunately had to depart at 4:30 am to make a flight so couldn't make breakfast but the hotel so kindly went the extra mile to make us croissants to take with us to the airport. Would certainly stay again!

This is really a b&b as they don't offer lunch/diner. We had a slight issue as there was construction work going on under our room which was disturbing us (there was even some hammering at 1am) but the staff moved us to a different room promptly. Both rooms were nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. Each evening, we were asked to notify the receptionist of our preferred breakfast time a the eggs (should you wish any, are made to order). We were however late everyday (we were on holiday!) but this didn't cause an issue. On our final day our soft boiled eggs were uncooked though and I noticed the couple next to us complained about this. Breakfast was otherwise fine but I think there could have been more choice. The central location is great whilst it is slightly set back from the main streets so there wasn't any noise from late night revellers. The rooms have smart tvs in them which is a nice, modern touch so you can relax and watch another episode of your latest Netflix/Amazon series when resting after walking up and down the many hills in Lisbon!

Top Chiado location
This hotel is very well placed in the middle of Chiado. Modest entrance, small reception and only a staircase leading up to the rooms. We had booked a junior suite and we were happy with the size and layout of the room, however it was bitter cold when we arrived. Additionally the receptionist put the A/C in cooling mode why it took us the better part of the evening to reach even a reasonable temperature. In the bathroom there was no heating at all and therefore a bit too cold for comfort throughout our stay. The breakfast is on the small size but despite that had everything we wanted and the service was impeccable. The hotel offers no parking but a general garage is very close.

Great location and friendly staff, especially Fernando, who has been so patient and accommodating with us. Beautiful room and comfortable bed. Only pitfall was the quite disruptive construction noise (and some vibrations) right outside our room, but overall excellent stay.
