Very spacious room but it was 51 steps below the reception. No elevator. Not recommended for anyone who is older or has a lot of luggage. For some reason the management decided to steam clean the sofa while I was occupying the suite. This unit had a living room, kitchen and bedroom and I had my do not disturb sign up. I came back in the afternoon to relax and the door was open with 3 strangers in my suite cleaning. The sofa was unusable for 2 days because it was very damp. I was very disturbed mostly because do not disturb usually means do not enter. Even though the accommodation otherwise was first rate I wouldn't visit this property chain again because of this violation of privacy.

Just okay. Better place for same price elsewhere.
We had a couple of issues that made this stay okay for our last night in Portugal, but not a place I would’ve wanted to stay in for an extended time. The complimentary breakfast that was offered was great, but it wouldn’t offset the other issues we had for me to want to stay here for longer than 1 night. (1) Checkin: manager might have had an emergency when we arrived at 14p (within the posted checkin range of 10-20hr), so no one was there when we arrived to let us in. It was sheer luck that there was another guest smoking outside who let us in; and that we connected w/ a cleaning person who got us into the room so we could drop bags. Later, we saw that we received an email just before checkin to call ½ hour before arriving, but when travelling, we don’t checking email constantly so that wasn’t a great means of communication for us. (2) Cleanliness: room overall was clean, but bathroom had a very musty smell (and clearly had water damage issues in wood floorboards near shower). However, floors were not clean. I walked around w/o shoes/socks for a few minutes, and the bottoms of my feet were black. (3) AC: air con didn’t really work. On our arrival, it was set to 16c, but the room was warm and didn’t cool down. We couldn’t lower below 16c. Open windows wasn’t an option b/c room faced a busy road w/ tram, so it was too noisy overnight – and it was raining – so it was a very warm night.

I stayed here for 3 nights and can not say enough positive things about our experience!! Every staff member was extremely friendly, helpful, and made us feel at home. We had breakfast included and they made sure to offer dairy free options for my sister. It was also a ton of food! I loved our room, it was very comfortable. I also liked that they had someone on staff at all times. I would highly recommend this place!
