I ended up here during Web summit with a last minute reservation -there where no other options available- and I have to say it surprised me. The place is clean. The staff is ok. The location is great. It is what it is, a bed to sleep a few hours and keep going.

Good Affordable stay in Bairro Alto, good location
I booked the double room (double bed) with private bathroom. The bathroom was slightly small but on the other side, this is right in the centre of Bairro Alto and at a very good affordable price. Also the cleaner was very nice and cleaned the room daily ! The receptionist swere mostly very nice and friendly too. After 12 AM you have to ring the bell to go in, which is ok, but I am only giving 4 stars, because the receptionist the last night reminded me that I need to checkout tomorrow, just because I went to the room late after a night out. He repeated twice the checkout time.

Excellent low budget hotel in the heart of the Barrio Alto. Comfortable beds, lively bars and restaurants a little noisy (which adds to the atmosphere) until about midnight then slept well - quiet mornings. Very friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon because it is so conveniently located.

Disappointed with the property. The attic room that we received was not matching the image on the website and was too small for a family of 4. It is dated, the shower is missing one door, and water leaks to the floor. The biggest issue - there never was any parking available while it was listed as one of the property amenities.- this was simply a lie! I wouldn't book this place as we were traveling by car. More than that - car access to the area is restricted to taxis only, and other cars entering the restricted section of the old city get a fine. This information should have been provided on the website! The only thanks to the cleaning ladies for clean bedding and attempt to make the room more pleasant.

he room you booked 1 room with 1 double bed + 2 sofas with private bathroom and air conditioning availableand according to the scores of other customers with good grades.as for access to the hotel, it is restricted to cars, but we have parks around the hotel, the information is usually only written if there is a park

Great hotel in the heart of Bauer Alto. As long as you remember you are in the old town so space is at a premium you won’t be disappointed. Helps or local restaurants close by and a small convenience store directly across the road

This hotel was located in an area close to a metro stop and many dining choices. The people attending the local bars were sometimes noisy late into the night.

Close to everything. Perfect for a 1 or 2 night stay very basic room but clean and mostly comfortable. Staff was friendly. Only real Negative was the shower was clogged and would overflow. It’s an older property but no real complaints I would stay again in a pinch. I would rate it a 7 out of 10.

Just an OK place
Location was perfect, you can walk from there easily everywhere since is located barrio alto. Room was ok, it had everything I needed, the bathroom was really small but at least I had one in my room. The toilet was leaking, and at night it gets really loud since the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and bars. The person in the lobby was not very welcoming or friendly maybe because I don’t speak any Portuguese but overall this place is ok for what I paid.

It certainly has not been renovated in years. The bathroom are in very bad condition. The siphons are clogged and you can not shower normally. We change two room. Both have this problem. The only good thing about that hotel is the man who is working on reception at night. He is very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful staff
Staff made the entire experience very comfortable. They went above and beyond. The place was clean and quiet. Very comfortable. The location is very convenient to everything. staff made us feel like we were staying with extended family. Elsa (room service) and Rajan (front desk) were so wonderful. Their hospitality enhance our experience. They were super friendly and made our stay so much better then we anticipated. I highly recommend

Perfect location for Bairro Alto nightlife
We stayed for two nights and loved our stay. The staff was very friendly and the room was up on the third floor, away from the noise of the weekend street. Location could not have been better for nightlife in Bairro Alto!

Best investment I’ve made on a budget
This is the perfect place to stay if you are on a budget. They are extremely well organized and the service here is prestine. You get to be in the center of the city, right by the bars and the nice restaurants. The rooms are pretty good too, you will see that the showers are in your room which is unusual but I got used to it pretty quickly!

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is near numerous dining, shopping, sightseeing, and transportation options. Unfortunately, the accommodations need improvement. The beds were uncomfortable, and the shower in our bathroom was very small and slow to drain. (Plenty of hot water, though.) The area can be quite noisy.

Great location in bairro alto which is great for going out at night. Wasn't noisy in hotel. The breakfast was of a good standard. Had aircon in room. Lost power to the block a couple of times, obviously not their fault.

Safe and clean enough with a great location
Overall it was a very easy and pleasant stay. I was staying by myself and wanted a good location that was clean and safe. Pensao residencial camoes did just that! The hotel isn’t super high end, you have to lug you stair case up stairs, it can be noisy hearing commotion from barrio alto or from other guests, but overall for the price, I’d definitely stay again. I had a private bathroom and am not quite sure what public / shared bathroom was like. Additionally, the breakfast wasn’t super elaborate by any means but provided the basic necessities.

Left a long review , but it was not published. So, in short, THANK YOU, ELSA, FOR AN EXCELLENT CLEANING JOB. Thank Roger and his colleagues for their help with lugguge. DO NOT thank Roger for lying for not doing the promised repsirs, for cjarging the city tax twice, and for not giving me any credit for stayinh two extra nights, and for doubling the price. Now psy less than you asked at a 3 stsr hotel with private bsthroom and FANTASTIC breakfast.

Roger needs to be careful with some words (liar) and expression they may get the wrong impression. I tried to know who you are, I can not find the name so I do not remember to charge twice, it's impossible to pay € 2.00 per person per day, a mandatory standard tourist tax. you'd better complain at the front desk to fix the problem. maybe I'm not used to dealing with this type of customer

Good place for a good price
Super staff, nice room but very noisy (restaurants and bars at the corner of the street), great location though. Breakfast was good, all you can eat little buffet with ham, cheese, yogurts, cereals, coffee, tea, juice, milk. 2 little bread buns each. If you can have a room that doesn’t face the street you’ll be great!

Perfect Location
Perfect location for the late night craziness in Barrio Alta. Despite being in the heart of the action our room was very quiet and for our needs. Granted our private bathroom was so small you could sit on the toilet and brush your teeth in the sink at the same time, but what do you expect in a 100 year old building in a perfect urban location. Staff was great and breakfast as good as any you'd get a a chain, USA location. Great value for the money.

The hotel was nice and clean. The communal bathrooms were impeccable and the staff were super helpful. If I return to Portugal, there's no doubt I'll be staying here again as it's so close to the city centre. Perfect location at the perfect price. Not expensive but doesn't skimp on quality. I am very happy with my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They cleaned our room every day. They had a good breakfast. The only thing I have to warn about is that this hostel is located in a part of town where there's a lot of partying going on until late at night. It was very noisy. So if you're looking for a quiet place to stay this is not the place for you. Other from that I'm very pleased with my stay.
