A PRIVATE SUITE IN HISTORIC SINTRA
Make yourself at home at Velvet Sintra, our family villa dating from the 17th century. ROOM 1 is one private, enclosed two-bedroom suite with its own bathroom. No other guests pass through your suite. You enter through the villa’s shared entrance and guest areas before reaching your private, lockable entrance.

SLEEPS UP TO SIX
The main bedroom has a giant round king bed for two and an L-shaped sofa that opens into a double bed for two. The second bedroom has a bunk bed for two. Sofa-bed linen, pillows and duvet are stored inside the sofa; the self check-in video shows how to open it.

CHARACTER AND COMFORT
Your single private bathroom features rare Italian pink marble over 100 years old, a spacious walk-in shower and a separate vintage bathtub overlooking the balcony and green mountain scenery. There is no hydromassage. Enjoy two fireplaces, a desk with a Herman Miller chair, and a dining table for four. Alex and his wife spent two happy years in this suite.

IN-SUITE APPLIANCES
Mini fridge, microwave, kettle, ground-coffee and Nespresso machines, plates, glasses, bowls and cutlery are provided. The suite has no oven or hob. The main villa’s kitchen is available for shared use.

SHARED SPACES
Beyond your private suite, you are welcome to enjoy the snooker table, piano, guitar, violin, library, patio, barbecue and wood fire pit. These are communal facilities, not exclusive to your reservation. Respect quiet hours and fire restrictions.

GOOD TO KNOW
Self check-in starts at 15:00, including late arrivals; checkout is by 12:00. Access instructions and a short video are sent the day before arrival. Breakfast is optional and paid separately, with at least 24 hours’ advance booking. Dinners, sandwiches, sangria and laundry are also available as paid extras, subject to availability. Pets are welcome for a single €35 fee per stay, regardless of the number of pets or nights; declare pets when booking and never pay twice if already included in the reservation. Service animals are exempt. Smoking is outdoors only and quiet hours are 23:00–07:00. Any event requires prior host approval. We offer 24/7 remote guest support; there is no staffed reception.
