Neighborhood overview

Marquês de Pombal is one of the central areas in Lisbon, located between Park Eduardo VII and the top of the Avenida da Liberdade shopping district. It is a short distance away from the characteristic and charming Bairro Alto and Principe Real neighbourhoods and the Rossio (where the S. Luiz theater is located). Similarly close by (but in the opposite direction) is the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Museum.


Transportation

The property is conveniently located near Praça Marquês de Pombal which, in addition to its central location, is the location of essential transportation hubs (subway and bus). Taxis are also plentiful in the area.
The subway is only a couple of minutes walk away from the property. From here several reference areas (Bairro Alto, Gulbenkian, Cais do Sodré, among others) are a short travel time away (usually around 10 minutes).
Travel times are roughly: 35 minutes to the airport, 30 minutes to Gare to Oriente train station and 10 minutes to Santa Apolónia train station.
