"Ignore the other reviews for this hotel, they cannot be real. The condition and cleanliness is abysmal. The whole place has a certain smell, backed up with a certain herbal smell from neighbouring guests. There are other hotels in the area at a similar cost.... stay there. "This hotel is great for the location to the cathedral but i am afraid this the breakfast was the only great thing about it. All the staff we encountered were lovely but this hotel is tired and run down. We had a deluxe room but there was nothing deluxe about it apart from a balcony with a view but the balcony was dirty and there was no chairs to sit out on. The carpets were vile and there were cobwebs inside the balcony doors and vents. The bath panel was broken and we had to push it back in place when we first entered the room. Such a shame this place could be amazingly."

"We stayed for one night to meet friends on the waterfront. Perfect location for the eateries there and easy access to the high street too. Parking is a little limited at peak times but there’s a multi storey next door. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was really good too with lots of choice, although the coffee wasn’t great. The room was spacious and clean and perfect for what we needed it for. Will stay again if we’re in the area."
