Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge

As someone who's spent his life going to motels and 1 star hotels, I've never had a worse experience in a room. When booking, I had requested an accessible room to accommodate my walker, and when I arrived the room was the opposite side of the building from the disability parking. The AC unit in the room was grimy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and there were small spider webs in every corner we looked. It was upsetting but we assumed they were cobwebs at least. Until 1am when we saw a large spider. And then, after killing that one - we saw another on the other side of the room. (We were told the next morning that we should have called the front desk, but it was nearing 2 am and we were fully unpacked) Waking up, my wife and I had both been bitten so clearly we didn't get them all. (A less important note, but frustrating with the accessible rooms - any vending machines were down the opposite side of the hotel, except for a single half empty drink vending machine.) The convenience of location to the arena was not worth spending the full night expecting spiders to crawl over us (which turned out to happen) or for the inconvenience of being shoved into a room in what I can only imagine is the least cared about area of the hotel just because I needed an accessible room. I wish I'd seen the other reviews about bugs beforehand.

We've stayed at this place several times over the years and will stay there again in the future. It fits the need for our purposes well. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub for relaxation and recreation (kids love it), plus an exercise room. There is also a free breakfast buffet from 6 am - 9 am. Front desk staff were excellent, going beyond my expectations in helping me handle 3rd party reservation challenges, which took a while.
