"Property front desk person was very helpful with the check-in process and getting us checked in a few hours early. Person was also very helpful with helping us coordinate parking since there is no on-site parking for the hotel and you're basically having to park on the street. Front desk hotel personnel was very very helpful."

"Room and property were great, could be expected based on the area. Only issue I had was that my connecting flight was canceled and when I contacted the property to let them know to push back my reservation one day they basically told me that the fee to do that equal the same amount as to the Hotel day price that I was going to miss and that there was nothing they could / would do and was basically told to keep my reservation as is if I wanted to stay there still. I didn't really appreciate that response."

"The reception helped plan my stay including dinner reservations and island excursions before I even arrived. They responded via email in an extremely timely and professional manner. The marina view was nice, quiet, and very clean. The festivals and music were amazing. The room was super clean with daily linen changes when requested as well as turn down service. There’s no microwave but there was a stocked mini fridge with light snacks and drinks( for a fee). There are restaurants, mini marts, and souvenir shops all around. You can rent a car, book a whale watching tour, enjoy local cuisine and cafes, enjoy the local bread and cheeses, and just relax! Pedro Ferreira is the local tour guide we used for 3 excursions. He has the best attitude, warmest heart, love and knowledge of the island…and the best price! We can’t wait to go back and enjoy paradise!!!"

"The hotel is exceptional and the area where it is located is breathtaking. While you have to pay in order to use the geothermal pools anywhere else on the island, there are geothermal pools right here in the hotel for your use anytime of the day or night! The hotel leaves little treats and trinkets in your room for you throughout most of your stay, there are incredible tasting teas with cookies in the lobby area, and breakfast was divine! We highly recommend this hotel!"

"Wonderful location on the Ponta Delgada waterfront, with a small balcony. Our room was immaculate and spacious. Bathroom was very good. The parking situation has some problems. There is parking in a garage under the hotel for a reasonable fee, but only the upper level is connected by elevator to the hotel. The lower level has a separate entrance and difficult foot access. Parking spaces on both levels are too narrow."

"We had a very enjoyable stay at the Hotel Ponta Delgado. The room was clean and the bed very large. The pool and hot tub is probably the hotel's greatest asset - along with the staff who were very friendly and helpful. It was a joy to stay there and very close to the town centre too. At an affordable price we were very happy to spend 5 days. The breakfast area is very clean and we enjoyed breakfast but could do with a bit of a facelift. It has the feel of a canteen rather than hotel breakfast area and some love and attention would benefit it. We loved the pancake machine! Would have liked to take it home. All in all a great hotel and very useful for seeing the rest of the city and the wonderful island."
