This place is very near the old town and staff were very helpful in recommending places to eat and how to navigate around town. The hotel is a bit outdated but the staff made our stay excellent .

The Hotel Slon was lovely. It’s very conveniently located in the city center and is walkable to the funicular up to the castle. We enjoyed the Friday night open kitchen in the Town Center, and loved the breakfast buffet. Lots in offer for every taste. A great stay.

The hotel is very centrally located, beautifully maintained and the staff are excellent. The rooms are large and well maintained. The breakfast is very comprehensive. The hotel is located right at the old town centre with great access to shopping and a range of restaurants. It is also not far from the main train station. If arriving by train either walk to the hotel or get them to get you a cab to pick you up. Their cost around 5 euros, cab at the station 25 euros.

Comfortable room. Very good breakfast selection. The hotel is located near the city centre. The staff was very helpful in liaising with the airport in trying to track down my delayed luggage and in making multiple changes to my airport pickup due to changed flight plans (3 times!!)

This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to all the key sites. You can valet park your car. They have AC and room refrigerators. Also the best breakfast during our stay across Slovania. We highly recommend it.

We spent 8 nights at this hotel and we were very pleased. The Breakfast included with the room was better than most, the bed was very comfortable and we had a spacious bathroom, unusual for Slovenia. Only criticism was that the room safe was not attached to anything. I (or anybody who got into the room) could have walk away with it. The location is excellent for getting into the tourist area and while it's in a pedestrian zone, our drivers were allowed to pull up to the front door. Would stay again.

Great location- in walking distance to many sites in Ljubljana. Staff generally helpful - though concierge could not advise on car rental - instead advising us to look on internet. Noisy pub next door - disturbed us through the night even though on fifth floor.

Stayed for three nights, and ended up in a room which had no view - you opened up the window to a concrete wall. Room was very stuffy and fridge did not work. Also construction was happening which we weren’t made aware of which meant noise from about 7:45 in the morning. Breakfast was great and staff were attentive, ensuring the food was replenished. All in all, great location, breakfast and staff but rooms are tired.

I found this hotel superb. It is slap bang in the middle of town. The bedroom and bathroom were excellent. There was a powerful shower. The bar and lounge were most pleasant and not outrageously expensive either.

This hotel was very central and mostly everything was walkable. Rooms were spacious and very clean and all the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast had an excellent variety and choice. The only thing I would say, and this isn’t really a complaint, was that the air conditioning was behind the curtains which meant the cool air stayed at the window instead of circulating around the room.

The room was big and clean, however, there was a constant strong smell of sewage in the bathroom. The breakfast could have had a better choice of fruit (only hard tasteless melon and grapes). The juices were poor quality. The staff were friendly at reception.
