"The front desk staff is wonderful, particularly Shawn who carried my two heavy suitcases all the way to my room, and Cian who fetched two water bottles for us as we were leaving because we’d slept through breakfast and my daughter was thirsty. But backtracking to “carried my two heavy suitcases” for a moment, it was necessary because the property has no lift (elevator) but it does have a central staircase and then there were a couple of other smaller staircases on the way to our room. The room itself was clean, comfortable, quiet and clearly newly renovated. Lovely view! I kept the drapes open as long as possible for the water views, as well as the parklike setting. The only issue we had beyond the lack of a lift was dicey service at the restaurant (for dinner, not breakfast); one member of our group was not served her entree when all the rest were served, but the server seemed oblivious (and didn’t check with us about the meals either) nor did she bring the second round of drinks some ordered until well after the late arriving meal. Odd because the pub wasn’t busy, but maybe they were short staffed and she was also working across the hall at the restaurant? In any case, manager made it right with the person who waited for her meal, so no star deduction."
"Ideal hotel location
Price was very reasonable

"Great hotel, service and everything generally excellent, however pint of Guinness was terrible in the main bar, it’s amazing with all they get right that they allow this."
"Room was fine, food at the restaurant was great. The hallways were quite dark on our floor maybe environmental that way? Word of advice is don’t try and leave between say 4 and 6:30pm as traffic is at a standstill then. Found out after that’s just Galway traffic at that time."
"Lovely room with comfortable beds, clean and well stocked. Loved the small welcome cake!
Breakfast was great with a good choice of fresh and local produce. Cooked breakfast to order worked well.
Good value for money."
