The house fit our family!

Was looking forward to using the hot tub after hiking all day, but the temperature would not rise making it more like a pool. The house was beautiful, despite its uncleanliness. The bed linens were not washed, leaving behind previous visitors hair. The bathroom sink and shower would not drain, leaving us to remove multiple balls of hair before we could use them (pictures can be provided!). Overall, the staff that assisted our booking was fantastic, but the cleaning staff needs some improvement.

Clean and comfortable. But definitely needs new bathroom towels. And the Sulphur smell of the hard water is overpowering. Otherwise was good.

Quiet Getaway

Pros: House is quiet, cozy, and comfortable with provided amenities/necessities. Not luxurious, but quaint, good for a couple of nights stay, and affordable. Cons: Well water, so pack water bottles with you.

The property was in a good location for what we wanted to do. The house was clean. The water smells like sulfur. The tub drain was slow. We also ran out of gas on the grill.

Place was very nice, but the water smelled so bad could hardly enjoy the stay.

The house was nice and roomy and felt very inviting. The water smelled so bad, it really ruined the experience. Please get that fixed. We could not shower or wash dishes or brush our teeth without almost vomiting.

Water at the house stinks like sulphur which makes the house smell like it. If you stay here you will need to bring your own bottled water for things like making coffee, brushing teeth, even cooking. The hottub did not work which was one of the main reasons we rented the place so that was disappointing. Reached out to the rental agency about it but never heard back. The house is spacious and was clean but it is a 30/40 minute drive from the hiking attractions at Hocking Hills. The house is also situated right on a road. Granted it’s a quiet back road but you don’t get the remote cabin vibes from this property. Overall a very mediocre stay at Hillside Hideaway.
