We had a wonderful stay at this lodge. It was very spacious and accommodating. The owner was very helpful with suggestions for spending time out in nature. The area is so scenic and peaceful. Access to Bald Eagle State Forest is very convenient. Highly recommend this vrbo.
Dancing Bear Lodge is a wonderful place for family gatherings. Our host, Lucy, was fabulous, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. We enjoyed easy access to the forest for cycling and hiking. The lodge is very dog friendly. And the porches, decks and backyard were inviting places to spend time. We booked again before we even left.
Beautiful house which accommodated our family nicely. Loved the amish going by on their horse and buggies. Love the birds. The hostress very friendly and helpful with surroundings and activities. Will definitely go back again!
Fantastic place, clean, spacious, all the things you might forget to pack. One morning we woke to hot freshly baked sticky buns on front porch, provided by Lucy. We will stay again on our next trip to PA.
Tha kitchen was fully stocked, andserved our needs very well.No pets this visit, as we lost our dog to old age last year. But, we know it to be very pet friendly. Our dog, Riley, loved it!
This was a last-minute trip, but the lodge worked out great. Everything was as described, and Lucy was a great host. We will return

Warm and welcoming!
Lucy was a wonderful host! Great communication which started at the booking and continued throughout our stay. The accommodations were lovely. Peaceful setting that promotes relaxation and calmness. Great location - convenient for this Penn State football family. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful lodge! The custom cherry floors will dazzle you. The owner, Lucy, checked in with us to see if we needed anything and that we were comfortable. A perfect host!!
We had an absolutely incredible time in Loganton. The house and property is absolutely beautiful, the photos do not do the place justice. It was the perfect place to bird watch and watch fireflies in the summer. The back yard is huge and we were able to throw the ball with our big dog. We also had a great time ordering donuts at Nan donuts. This is a great place to get away, decompress, and enjoy Amish country and excellent hiking. The house is very clean and well maintained, and it’s well stock with games, kitchen supplies for cooking, and books. Perfect place to disconnect for the weekend.
Everything was great! The house has everything you could need and more.

Dancing Bear Lodge
We had a good time. But there are only beds for 4, it doesn't sleep 10 comfortably. There is only 1 window AC unit, it wasn't too bad but several weeks earlier it would have been very hot in the cabin.
If you are driving across the country, this is an easy stop off of I80. The Host lives next door and is helpful and very involved in your stay. Former church so the bedrooms are open. Beds are firm. We found the futon in the living room more comfortable our second night Very quiet and beautiful area of Central Pennsylvania.
Sometimes there are unwelcome surprises when you enter a vrbo rental. Well, all the surprises here were amazing and wonderful. Lisa personally saw that we were settled and had all we needed, and was accessible throughout our stay. The home is filled with loving, thoughtful touches and amenities. It is easy more spacious than photos show. Kitchen has EVERYTHING you'd ever need. The house was absolutely immaculate, and so well provisioned. And... the yard??? Oh my...I could stay forever on the gorgeous decks, and on the front porch watching Amish carriages go by. The back yard is so spacious and gorgeous with beautiful plants and trees. We played some fierce croquet out back, ha. Can't recommend this any higher. Truly a restful oasis. We hope to return one day.
Lucy was very easy to communicate with. The lodge was beautiful, just as pictured. It was extremely spacious, no closed bedrooms, but has 2 full beds in lofts, a futon, comfy couches and chairs with plenty of blankets and pillows. We had plenty of space to set up our pack n play for our son. We have 2 dogs, a husky and a lab, who loved the space. Because it was so hot and we had the baby we spent most of the time inside or at the 2 state parks nearby. There was nice easy family hiking without a lot of people the trails (even for 4th of July weekend) and a place we could let the dogs swim in the lake. It was perfect for us and our family. I wish we could have stayed longer! It is in a small village in an area with Amish residents. Everyone was extremely friendly and it was nice to see chickens just roaming free and horse and buggies.
The toaster oven and oven may need some upgrading eventually, the backyard tree is overgrown over the back deck ramp, but nothing the effected our stay! Highly recommended!
