"Positives - clean room, convenient location, good value, excellent communication throughout.
Minor negatives - lift to 3rd floor room was very narrow/small, main room was cold, toilet had persistent unpleasant odour"

"We had a wonderful stay. The location is priceless: in the heart of the beautiful Marais, on a cute quiet street. We could walk everywhere easily. The appartement itself is a gem, exactly as shown on the photos. I would definitely go back "

"Great small apartment, smaller than it looks in the pictures, though, but big enough for our stay. Bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent: close to main attractions and to transit, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in nearby. The only thing is that we wished there was enough TP for a stay as that's is something you don't want to shop around for while in Paris."

"The location was absolutely perfect, and the apartment was equipped with everything I needed. I loved how the windows opened wide, making the space feel bright and airy. Cozy and ideal for a weekend getaway, in a beautiful area that I truly enjoyed. Everything about the stay was pleasant - I’d be happy to return and can definitely recommend this place to others!"

"Location is great, but we arrived late having booked for three people and there were only beds set up and towels for two. One of the PowerPoints was faulty and gave my daughter a bad electric shock, and the beds were not very comfortable."

The Jangle Hotel - Paris - Charles de Gaulle - Airport
6/10 Okay
"Booked this hotel due to shuttle bus from airport & restaurant for evening meal. However prior to arrival message advised that the shuttle didn’t run between 12 noon to 5:30pm and we were due in at 4pm! So had to find alternative transport to hotel. On arrival a Reception staff member was in the phone. There was no acknowledgement from that staff member or from another that came to reception, collected something and walked away. After the call ended maybe 5-10mins, we were welcomed to the hotel and check-in was smooth.
We did eat at the restaurant, limited menu but nice food. Given the choice of any table, empty at 7:30pm, but couldn’t sit at the one we pointed to as it was for four! At end of meal we asked for check, but had to ask again 10mins later and told, “yes it’s at the bar”. I guess the staff forgot to mention this. Decided not to then have a drink in the bar due to the sport on the TV which was loud.
Staff also very preoccupied with their cell personal cell phones, and after smoking break outside the restaurant window, returned to the bar taking off their coat from the serving side of the bar. It all seemed very unprofessional."
"We got notified the property was under construction 2 days after leaving for our Italy & France vacation, leaving us limited options. Upon arrival, we found construction at the front entrance and were not warmly greeted at check-in. Reaching our room required a long walk, the elevator in our building was unreliable. Staff blamed the issue on housekeeping, but it was clear there was a larger problem. Because my husband has limited mobility following multiple back surgeries, we were concerned about his safety if the elevator failed especially being a commercial builder himself.
When we entered the room, it smelled as if a wet dog had been there. I immediately contacted Expedia, and after speaking with the hotel, they agreed to refund 3 of our 4 nights if we checked out immediately. We booked another property and went to the front desk to leave, they tried to offer another room, which we declined. The next day, we discovered no refund had been issued. After contacting Expedia, we learned the hotel had gone back on its agreement. I spent much of our vacation calling daily to have the matter escalated. I finally filed a claim through the French consulate, and shortly thereafter the hotel refunded three nights as originally promised.
While we eventually received the agreed-upon refund, it did not compensate for the stress, inconvenience, and valuable vacation time lost dealing with the horrific situation. We will never speak well of France to anyone that asks. It is all on them."
"It is a sort of boutique hotel with rooms in several separate buildings connected by court yards. People at the reception desk are very friendly with good smiles and helpful. Once you get used to it, it is only 5-10 min walk from the train, metro and bus station, Nation. A variety of cafes, restaurants in 10 min walking distance
Rooms are small, but well equipped including a good-size microwave, stove, fridge, pot, pan and utensils. THere is a room for improvement, such as hall way carpet and room floor carpet, but the hotel perhaps doing the step-by-step renovation."
"We were given a room that was freshly refurbished and smelled of paint which was not great. The staff were courteous to change it immediately on our request. The new room was good but in serious need of repair with wet patches in the ceiling in the bathroom and woodwork completely peeling. On the first day, housekeeping did not clean the room and despite two reminders, it wasn’t cleaned when we came back to the room post dinner. It was then cleaned after we went to the manager. Overall, the hotel is in a great location, the staff is nice but due to the points mentioned above, I wouldn’t stay here again."
"The obvious Lake is at the location of the Eiffel Tower.
We thought we had a balcony room and for the price, I would expect balcony room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The safe didn’t work and they said someone to come to fix it but as far as I know no one ever did. The soap and the shower didn’t work and for a short period of time we lost electricity. They came to fix it, but when we opened the door, the lights came back on.
Great to have the TAXi stand so close by."
