Great private property in a quiet neighborhood. The floors are tile, so it is dog friendly. Great water pressure in the shower, nice and hot. The beds are extremely comfy with nice linens. Happily surprised to find a french press and kettle in the kitchen. Many outdoor spaces to enjoy for quiet time. There was a tasty pizza place within walking distance of the house.

Everything about the stay was wonderful. Place was clean, communication consistent, and quiet neighborhood. Just make sure to do all of your grocery shopping before hand. Long drive to town.

The best weekend stay!!

My boyfriend and I had the most lovely, cozy, fun weekend staying at The River House! The house and backyard were absolutely perfect. We also spent an afternoon at Pinecroft nearby, which I would totally recommend if you’re staying here. Overall our stay was 10/10 and we would definitely return :)

A Great Getaway!

Great weekend getaway

We booked the cottage for the long weekend and absolutely loved our stay. The place was beautiful and very serene. Perfect getaway. My friend’s dog loved running around in the backyard! Great getaway for families

Hosts were very accommodating - very responsive & tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The place was super clean and cozy, had everything you needed for the stay. The neighbourhood was very quiet, almost felt like we were the only ones there. The views from the living room and the dining tables were beautiful :) we'd definitely recommend!

Everything was incredibly well thought out. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything we needed to cook during the weekend for 4 people; the bathroom was stocked with body wash, and even razors and a hair dryer under the sink and there were games for us to play. The tv room and kitchen /dining area were well designed and super cute with amazing views and sitting in the hot tub with a great view of the snowy grounds was very relaxing.Thank you for the excellent stay and hospitality.

Delightful place to escape from the city

We had a delightful stay at River House Gateway. This house is nice and cozy during winter. I particularly loved the layout of the livingroom. Perfect for movies.Kitchen had everything we needed and the owners were ready to help us at any time.Also, I must say, the hottub is simply divine. The cold, rainy evenings did not scared us from soaking for hours!

Quiet Getaway

Decided to book our second weekend getaway at this location in the last 2 months. Second time was as good as the first! This time we were able to get out for a walk around the neighborhood to enjoy the nature and scenery. The house was spotless once again. Everything was fantastic. Everything we needed was there. Relaxing getaway

This is what a vacation rental property should be! Angela and Ricardo have really considered everything you would want. The outdoor spaces are perfectly laid out, comfortable and well appointed. The interior is spotless, modern and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need for meal prep. The area is quiet and you are not far from many great spots along lake Erie. I would return in a heartbeat and would not hesitate to recommend!

Awesome Anniversary and birthday getaway

It was a very charming and relaxing place, that was professionally maintained and cleaned. What a cozy little place located right by the river and a small hill in the backyard! The owners have taken care of every little detail to make your stay comfortable and happy. It was just the perfect 2 night getaway for our anniversary and birthday! Everything was perfect, including the hot tub and the backyard bonfire! We had everything we wanted down to microwave popcorn! Thanks so much to the owners.

Lovely relaxing getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed the location and amenities of this dog friendly home near Port Burwell. Well equipped kitchen for cooking. Lovely bedrooms and huge family room. Three distinct outdoor sitting areas, for eating, socializing and enjoying the firepit by the river. Canoe and kayaks and life jackets provided for those who wish to use them. We loved the hot tub and used it daily before bed. Super clean home, lovely and quiet area. Great hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect - Stunning Space, Great Location!

We were impressed as soon as we stepped through the front door. Everything was impeccably clean and stocked with anything you need: towels, board games, tea/coffee, and even some snacks as a welcome gesture! We loved the space and it was a perfect size for the two of us. Of course, the hot tub was amazing. The hosts, Ricardo and Angela, were on top of their communication and we felt well cared for the whole time from booking to checkout. Comfortable Getaway

My girlfriend and I have desperately needed a weekend away for months and we booked River House Getaway in November. After having the highest of expectations and counting down the days, we arrived to find everything in impeccable order. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen has exactly what we needed and the living room was perfect with the toasty fireplace Lastly, the hot tub was amazing. It was up to temperature when we arrived and we enjoyed it the entire weekend. We hope to return to River House Getaway as soon as we are able to - maybe in the summer so we can enjoy a nice campfire!

Lovely time away

The River House was exactly as it appears and described! So many beautiful places to sit outdoors and relax! Backs onto a little river that you can kayak down. The cottage is cute and well appointed. They provide every kitchen tool you could imagine and also a lot of amenities. The only reason for reduced stars on neighbourhood is for the loud motorcycles in the neighborhood. Very annoying in an area that is so quiet and peaceful. But you can’t pick your neighbours 😊 We really enjoyed the time away and our hosts were wonderful.

Great Getaway!

The river house was exactly as advertised. Super clean, comfy and an excellent cottage aesthetic. We brought our pup and we were so delighted to see a little basket with treats and dog bowls for her. The hosts were fantastic; and welcomed us with some little snacks and a lovely card - it was so nice to have some popcorn while we watched a movie after unwinding in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed, in fact there were far more items than we expected. We also loved that there was holiday decor and a little Christmas tree - it really stoked the holiday cheer. 10/10 would recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a getaway from the city. It will be top of our list next summer as it seems like an amazing spot all year round and the outdoor spaces are very well designed.
