Over all a good hotel. The floors in the rooms need repaired with better quality flooring. Beds were comfy, pool was good, customer services was great. The town has dry water is the only issue,but the hotel can't be held responsible for that.

One night from Dallas- Family turn-around trip

Had a one night stay to visit family at a church service, came in from Dallas. The morning staff on Sunday morning during breakfast specifically, on 2/25 were very professional, friendly and polite and personable( hate I didn’t get their names). Thank you ladies! Bc of you… we would definitely choose to stay again.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious, had great amenities and was clean. Only thing they need to fix are the side door / pool door card readers. They worked 1 out of 5 times.

Relaxed wedding

We were able to get into our room a little bit earlier than the stated time. Bummed that the pool and hot tub were not available for use, but it should be fabulous now as they had finished redoing it during our stay and we’re just filling them both up as we were leaving. Bed we so comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and clean. The only oddity was that there was very little cellphone service. I did use the wi-fi but it didn't help the regular service. However, if I go to Carthage, TX again I would strongly consider staying at the hotel again.

The facility is well maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. The tub fixtures in our room was showing wear and the shower flow, as in most hotels, is not much more than a mist. I was a little disappointed that the A/C had no was to force the fan to be in "continuous" mode, to help mask outside noise. Also, it seemed the the thermostat monitored movement and shut the A/C off when there was no movement in the room. I woke up hot a couple of times and move around and place my hand on the thermostat to cause the A/C to cycle back on. This is common at most newer hotels, so I did not rate this hotel significantly lower because of this.

The trim around the air conditioner kept falling off. Told the front several times and was not fixed during our stay. I’m praying I don’t get charged for it. The air conditioner did not work well. Beds were super soft. Water did not stay hot long

First, the positive: the staff were all super friendly and kind. However, there were big negatives. My first room reeked of mildew, and I noticed there was a slippery, discolored patch about 2 feet long by one foot wide in the middle of the bathtub/shower floor. I asked if it could be cleaned because I smelled mildew. They came and scrubbed the floor right away, and laid down some kind of precut vinyl patch over the whole area. They said, "Don't worry, that isn't mildew, it's just rust." The next day, I was working offsite. When I got back to the hotel, the mildew smell in the room was so bad, I gagged. I asked for a room switch. The front desk woman kindly got me a room on another floor, which didn't smell like mildew. However, the next morning, I noticed a bunch of little amber-colored ants all over the bathroom counter. I didn't even bother complaining that time, because I have asthma and I wheeze if I am exposed to pesticide sprays. I just took all my stuff out of the bathroom and minimized my use of that space for the last day and a half of my stay. There were still ants on the counter intermittently the whole time.
