We’re here if you need us—and invisible if you don’t. Our small team works hard behind the scenes to keep the property safe, clean, and beautiful. You may see us (or our sweet maintenance guy) around from time to time, especially during checkouts, yard work, or if a guest requests assistance. We also live on-site part-time in a private area and commute weekly to Oregon. Your privacy is always respected.
Human neighbors are friendly, but enjoy the privacy that country life ensures. The numerous on site and animal neighbors are furry, or feathered, and some are approachable; but most are pretty shy. (rabbits, barn cats, deer, frogs, birds, raccoon, bobcats, quail, squirrels, skunks, etc...)
Add-On Amenities & The Camper’s Closet:
Looking to level up your stay? We’ve got a few optional add-ons available to make your retreat experience even better!
✨ The Camper’s Closet is our cozy little on-site camp store—fully self-serve and available 24/7 through a QR code on the Closet door or via our weblink. You’ll find essentials and fun extras like:
S’mores kits 🍫
Fire starter kits 🔥
Trader Joe’s snacks 🥪
Grocery or flower delivery services 💐
…and more!
🧺 Laundry Room Access ($10 Add-On): Want to use our onsite laundry facilities during your stay? You can reserve it for 6 hours of exclusive use through the Camper’s Closet as well.
🧖♀️ Barrel Sauna ($20 Add-On): Whether you`re chasing post-hike relaxation or just a cozy moment of zen, this warm little haven is now available to book for private 2 hour sessions.
💡 How it works: These optional add-on services (or any other store purchases) require a separate purchase. You`ll receive more detailed information before your arrival. Once you place your order, you’ll get an email with instructions for pickup or reservation and your door code.
Just a heads-up: Airbnb`s new fee transparency policy means we’re including these add-on details here to keep things crystal clear. Specifically, the washer, dryer, and sauna are listed as available amenities for this listing but they are not included in your nightly rate.
There is no cell service in our canyon but enabling wifi-calling on your phone will provide a equivalent signal via our recently upgraded routers and service.
3rd Party Booking Policy:
My Tiny Creekside Retreat is a great option for crews, professionals traveling for work, and is a way safer, more secure, and affordable option than local hotels.
Hosting guests, however, who have not made the reservation itself carries additional risk and hosting challenges. As such, in our desire to support our local employers we have recently developed and released this 3rd Party Booking Policy.
If you are booking on behalf of someone else, please review and accept this policy by replying specifically with the phrase “Responsible Guests Welcome”:
1) Booking must be confirmed at least 2 hours in advance of arrival.
2) Payment of an additional $150 refundable cleaning deposit via an Airbnb resolution center request will be required prior to arrival.
3) A contact name and verifiable cell phone # must be provided for at least 1 of the guests who are staying. Contact will be made with them prior to their arrival to verify their ID and ensure they are aware of the expectations during their stay.
Thank you for the opportunity to support the hard-working traveling professionals that help our cities and towns grow and thrive.
The WIFI in the Hideout is adequate for casual use (email, social media, cell phone use) but NOT recommended for professional use or data-intensive entertainment (streaming or downloading movies, crypto farming, large file transfers, or zoom calls) If these limitations affect you, please do inquire about the availability of our many other accommodations on site which have better wifi performance.
Cedar Loo Toilet Details:
We want you to love your stay, and that means making sure you’re comfortable with our eco-friendly, flushless Cedar Loo style toilet. It’s simple to use and saves thousands of gallons of water each year. But let’s be real—if you’re expecting a traditional flush toilet, this might not be the right rental for you.
How it works? Sit, do your business, toss in a handful of cedar chips, and close the lid. Once a day (or as needed), simply lift out the bag, tie it shut, and place it in the designated outdoor bin. A fresh bag will be ready to go—no extra setup needed!
If the idea of this type toilet makes you uneasy, we totally understand! We’d rather you book a place that meets your expectations than be surprised upon arrival. As an alternative, please do inquire about the availability of our other accommodations onsite that do have flushing toilets.
Pet and Animal Policy:
Recently we have updated this listing and no longer allow pets in this accommodation. If you would like to bring yours, please inquire about our many other accommodations on site which do allow animals.
In the best interest of transparency, our pet policy is only noted here so all guests on site understand the expectations of visiting animals and their owners; including service animals:
1. Pets must stay leashed outside at all times.
2. No pets on furniture, beds, or lofts.
3. Pets cannot be left alone inside, even in crates.
4. Clean up accidents with supplies under the sink, waste w/ bags provided, and sweep the house daily to manage fur.
5. At Creekside Cottage, use the signed pup relief area instead of the front lawn.
6. Expect friendly barn cats and free-range bunnies outdoors—if your pet chases or reacts strongly, this may not be the best fit.
7. Disruptive pets (excessive barking, digging, etc.) may be asked to leave without refund. Guests must review and reply to our Welcome Message incl intake questions ~ No SMOKING indoors or out ~ Guest’s visitors must be approved prior to their arrival ~ Government ID SELFIES may be required for guests ~ 3rd Party Bookings must review and accept 3rd Party policy ~ Responsible use of cedar loo toilet per instructions provided ~ Responsible use of loft ladders to access beds and assumption of liability for misuse

My stay was quite exceptional! I loved the cozy atmosphere and hearing the rain drizzle at night through the open windows throughout the cabin. The area was small, but that was the point. The space was well-organized and quaint. I loved my 4-day stay here!
We loved our stay! It was peaceful and relaxing. We loved how secluded it felt while being close enough for adventures. The scenery is beautiful. You'll have to be prepared to climb the stairs to the bed and the Internet was slow, however we overall enjoyed the "tiny home" living experience. The hosts were quick to respond, nice, and helpful.
My husband and I went away just the 2 of us and this was so romantic! They were so kind in putting flower petals in the shape of a heart on our bed for our arrival ❤️ One of our greatest trips and I highly recommend this property!
I had such a nice retreat away from the city after a huge project I wanted to seclude myself. This particular tiny house had ladders up to the beds which was fine, just a heads up to those staying in this particular one. The cedar toilet was easy to use, there were all the amenities you need. There was a stove and coffee maker as far as cooking. The property has several cute tiny homes that you could have a family or friends weekend with two fire pits. The river is right there and feeds a wonderful sound to fall asleep to. The owner was very sweet and accommodating.
We had a lovely stay at the tiny house! The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful, and Michelle is the perfect host. Looking forward to staying there again in the future…and bringing some friends along to join us in the other adorable little houses on the property!
Stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights, we had a wonderful time! Michelle was a great host who would respond promptly to any questions we had. We had everything we needed to cook and grill, and the bathroom was easy to use! Overall very peaceful experience, it felt so calming to sleep to the sounds of the creek.
My husband And I are both mid 70’s and this was our first stay in a tiny house. We loved it!!! We had everything we needed and the bed was awesome. Nice quiet setting.
3 adult ladies - sisters and sisters from other misters meet up and was a fabulous place to gather. We had no issues with the cozy space or other unique aspects of the property. It was so fun, clean and cozy! The host added 3 camp chairs so we could relax inside (February rain) and gab which was a huge plus. Had the weather been nice, the deck would have been perfect too! Will stay again in the future, great experience. Attention to detail and decor were warm an inviting!
We came to Longview for our son’s wedding. We live in the country and have two dogs we don’t leave alone. We were worrying about a place where we and our dogs would feel comfortable. That’s exactly what we found in the Tiny House Village.
The Hideout was not only comfortable, but kind of elegant, IMO. The decor and all the elements were very nice and well planned. The use of space to fit in everything needed is amazing. It was very difficult to leave each morning to go to town.
Michelle’s communication was the best!
Also enjoyed the friendly rabbits.

Nowhere to hike without driving!
This house is set back from the road only about .2 miles. Thus, while green, it is not serene. In addition, signs are all over that tell you not to hike/walk if it isnt on the marked path (car path). You must drive out and find quiet spaces as this also has about 5 other tiny houses on the same space. You share a picnic table for example. The top bunk had spider webs on the lights and while the heater was on the entire time, it never warmed the place, even as small as it was. The directions for the toilet are different in the handbook inside the cabin and the laminated page in the bathroom with with a compost toilet, this is important! VRBO listed a check in time that is different than the one the owner has an initially was accusatory of me showing early. I had to show her a picture from the VRBO site. I will never be back as it is not the quiet retreat, nor forest space as it is shown to be,
My friend and I had such a fun time staying on Michelle’s property. It was close to wineries and just a short drive to Portland, but felt remote enough where it truly was like we had the area to ourselves. Such a beautiful space. Wonderful communication. Will 10/10 stay again.
The Tiny House Village is located in a great location convient to wineries, supermarkets & restaurants. It is not too far from the Alpaca Farm. The Tiny House Village was intimate and located in a peaceful area. The communication with the host was good throughout our stay. It wasn’t until we left the host accused of things that we did not do. She could have handled her feelings in a professional manner. It was a good stay and we enjoyed our time.
This was more than a place to stay... it was an experience. Michelle's Tiny House Village is a magical space that exceeded ALL of our expectations. It helped us to remember how to pay attention to the small things which ultimately makes you feel more connected and grateful for everything. We were so sad to leave!
Wonderful and quiet couple days. We had everything we needed plus a grocery store nearby for extras. Michelle really thought of everything. Bring a good bottle to drink and a book and you’ll be set.
Thanks for the experience!
Michelle was a very attentive host and quick to respond to any questions. The tiny house itself was well built and meticulously maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the quiet woods but yet so close to the city.
We had a lot of fun staying in this tiny house. We felt like kids in a fort, basically. The location is secluded, but still really close to town. Our cell signals were good there (Tmobile). The wi-fi did give us some issues, but Michelle was really quick to take care of it! The cedar loo system was a first for me and took some courage, but it's actually pretty cool. I felt a sense of independence from indoor plumbing I've never felt before, lol! Just make sure to change the bag after serious business and certainly every day...Michelle has everything set up for you, so it's a piece of cake.
Fantastic property, so peaceful and has all of the amenities you need for a stress free vacation! Close enough to stores and food but far enough to feel seclusion! Great job, one of the best rentals we have experienced!
