As of February 2024 : The photos of the website on Expedia, or even on its own website - look nothing like the actual hotel in real life.
The hotel isn’t in a safe spot. Lots of shady people in and around the hotel. The front desk photocopied our visa, and each piece of ID for my wife and I.
We went up to our room and there was no glass on the window - just screens and shutters. Back window was open too. Door lock bolt was broken off. Room was closets thing to anything looking like the photos on site.
We called Expedia right away, getting into our room. They gave us full refund on the room, literally 10 minutes at the hotel. We rebooked that evening at the Sheraton by the airport.
Unfortunately we had to pay for the Uber back and forth. Not ideal. Expedia was great with helping us, but we literally were “cart-fished” by the hotel.
Yes it’s 5 minute walk from the walk of fame - but the area around the hotel isn’t very safe.
Trip ended up being a success; but thanks to Expedia getting us out of there. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anyone going to enjoy a trip to LA.
