I shouldn’t complain too much cuz it was only 10 minute walk to dntwn area where the Indy Grand Prix was @. For $200 ave/night it seemed like a lot for place was just there. Dings & wall patches(lots)in walls, different grout colors in same area, a cigarette burn in bedspread, thin(but clean) small towels, loud creaking squeaking doors & bed springs, the thinnest walls I’ve ever seen(those last 2 make for an interesting combo lol), & not a single picture or decoration in room. But the owner was nice, the sheets & towels were clean & smelled fine, the Wi-Fi worked great, & we had a close place to stay when booking only a week before event…so given the same conditions I would do it again. I would not if not pressed for time & the need to be close to dntwn. I’m also guessing the price wud be more reflective of the property if there wasn’t a 150k person event eating up the rooms in the area(supply & demand … remember Econ 101? - fair is fair.) Also strange or @ least new to me was the request for a $100cash damage deposit to be returned after inspection @ checkout. He ran my visa at checkin. The inspection was fast w/ a phn call to housecleaning, but now I will need to follow it up to make sure I receive the credit back to my card. I asked if I get a credit for cleaning a quarter size spot on the bedspread (by soaking w/h2o which erased it completely); but he didn’t think it was as funny as I did. I think the owner means well, it’s just tough to run a self owned biz these days.

What I like was it's close to the Shoreline. Hotel is old, need some print, and a refrigerator, microwave in each room. Too noisy, all night, and more parking.

For the price it a good experience, the water pressure was good, the water was hot, the ice machine was working. The Wi - Fi need improvement, it needs to be more stable.

The worst customer service experience I ever had as a traveler start off. They need cash deposit only totally rude. Totally rude place smell like urine checked in and checked out within 30 minutes. That’s how bad experience was I would not ever recommend my worst enemy to check in to the most disrespected hotel

Guests above my room were too noisy, stumping for hours, it sounded very loud, until after midnight. Bathtub hade black mildew on the tiles. Floor was dirty. Bedspread had big greasy stains.

*important….they make you give $100 in CASH ONLY to hold so you don’t smoke in room. They inspect the room in am. NEVER had this at any other property and it was not disclosed when making reservation on Expedia. Wanted me to pay $40 to check in early even though the room was ready. Settled on $20. Bathroom had worn and rusty fixtures. Bedroom furniture outdated. Bed was hard. Not motel’s fault but was awakened to toddler screaming and domestic incident, police were called. Management returned $20 early checkin fee at my request for inconvenience. Staff pleasant.

The check-in process is antiquated and took forever. Required a $100 cash deposit to check-in and there is no ATM on-site. Then upon departure you are required to go back to front office to get the $100 back (after front desk confirms you did not smoke in your room). The hallway smelled clean and the room was clean. Parking area in the back alley is covered in urine. Rooms overlooking the alley can be noisy at night.

If you're traveling and want to save money this is a good choice! Obviously you get what you pay for the stuff was very friendly it is a cheaper option so obviously you're not going to get the five-star amenities but for us it was worth the price. We simply spent the night there and left in the morning and it was perfect for what we needed

Decent people providing us with a decent stay, and the staff accommodated our extra needs. We decided to stay an extra night! Our bed was quite soft and the pillows had high loft, perhaps something to keep in mind to accommodate for some people.

Seemed clean. Didn’t look too closely though because we were exhausted. Stayed 1 night, Saturday night to attend ALA at the con center. No mini fridge or microwave in room. Huge inconvenience considering every place I’ve stayed at has those, and we had planned on being able to store and prepare food for dinner/breakfast. 100 cash deposit at check in was odd and inconvenient, had to walk to the gas station to get an atm, normally it’s a pending charge to a card but w/e. Check out took 20 minutes because everyone’s check out time is the same and they have one guy at the front desk. Air flow in every part of the place is terrible. Lobby and elevator are musty and stuffy. Hallway windows are left open (on 2nd and 3rd floors, which is a hazard) and yet don’t really improve the airflow. The whole place just smells like something that’ll give you cancer (the warning sign on the front doors tells you it might.) Windows are thin, so when we closed ours to sleep we were still woken up at 4 am by crackheads yelling for over an hour. Trash around the parking lot, the surrounding alleys to get in/out certain parking for the hotel are unevenly paved and full of potholes. Honestly embarrassed I took my partner to stay at a place like that. Would’ve ruined the weekend if we had to stay more than one night.

The room smell and sink leak and bathroom need an update and modernize. The old man is very rude and the website is not indicating the is a mandatory cash deposit for incidentals damage deposit of $100. For each room. There is lots of noise from upstair is stay above you every time the is people is walking. Recommend to get the 3rd floor to avoid foot step noise.
